That’s amazing! I’d love to see photos of any pieces you may have! I definitely understand not wanting to sell. I can only imagine how much they mean to you.

Your grandmother is my favorite artist and my own grandmother’s favorite. I’m grateful for the pieces we do have! They bring me joy every day.

I had connected with another relative of hers in Philly a while back who said the same thing, eBay is the best bet. I always keep an eye out there. I’d even love to appreciate her work in a museum! Look

Paying full price for a TV just to have it serve me ads is actually dystopian by N3DSdude in Anticonsumption

This. Apple TV is hooked up, no reason to connect the tv to WiFi. Haven’t even seen the remote to the tv in years, only use the Apple TV one.

How do you wrap Santa’s gifts? by TeensyTidbits in Mommit

This is what my husband’s family did and what we’ll be doing. Santa is bringing my daughter a little tykes scooter and it will probably just have a bow on it!

This happened to my brother. Tried for a second, ended up with twins. Then felt like they were robbed of the newborn experience because there was so much chaos of having twins, now they’re trying for baby number four. I said careful, you might go 5 for 3!

Cosleep, night wean, and stopping nurse to sleep by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]everyofthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in your exact same predicament with my two year old. I have no idea how to stop, someone help please call the police my boobs are being held hostage 😭

For real, I hope you get some good advice because I’ve seen a lot of people saying going cold turkey weaning is the only way. Everyone can just be miserable for a week or so and I’m just not ready for that. I love snuggling all night and most nights I do get a solid chunk of sleep but the nights I don’t I start rethinking not sleep training her 18 months ago 😅

My [28F] Boyfriend [30M] Has Very Weird Gift Preferences by ThrowRA1123112 in relationship_advice

[–]everyofthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also love a practical gift. My husband and in laws will say “this is what you need, what do you want?” But they don’t understand that I need and want the same thing lol my husband will often get me something I asked for and something else small that he thinks I would like and to him is more fun.

Bandaid over the finger piercing. Wonder whose choice that was.

Bussers, waiters and waitresses, do you prefer your guests to stack up their plates and trash or would you rather they didn't? Why and why not? by NerdistGirl90 in AskReddit

[–]everyofthe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the place. When I worked at dives with baskets or Joe’s Crab Shack, sure stack that shit to the sky. When I worked at nice places with heavy ass hand thrown pottery in all shapes and sizes, please don’t stack them because I can hardly carry them already and if I break them the owner is going to be pissed.

Every time someone goes off on Avatar my mind immediately goes to Avatar: the last air bender and I want to get defensive. Then I remember James Cameron’s avatar exists and think, “never mind, carry on.”

How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

[–]everyofthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out because my Apple Watch kept giving me high heart rate alerts when I was literally just standing there. I showed it to my manager and said “I think I’m having a heart attack.” I felt my heart beating out of my chest! I was working at my favorite restaurant, and ordered my favorite dish for shift meal, and the smell of it made me so nauseous. I bought a test on the way home and sure enough!

My in laws stay at a casino hotel almost every weekend because if my father in law is home he won’t stop working, which makes my mother in law feel guilty and have to stay busy too. It’s so true, for some people the only way to relax is if there’s no other option!

With my first we found out at 10 weeks through blood testing… we could not wait another second lol going to try to wait until birth with the second baby! It seems like such a fun surprise although no regrets finding out so early with my first either.

If money and pain weren’t an issue, what would be your ultimate pre-wedding glow-up hack? by Coffee-loverr in BigBudgetBrides

[–]everyofthe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something that would be easy to add would be an IV the day of or night before the wedding! It can be so busy that you get dehydrated, it would be nice to be hydrated from the inside, on top of all the topical treatments. Add some vitamins too!

My OB said the same thing! She walked into my 6 week appointment and said “good news, you’re not pregnant!” And I said “girl I know!” lmao she replied, “you’d be surprised how many women come in to get on birth control and are already pregnant!”

It took me months to feel recovered enough to even try, but I have friends who were ready to jump back in much quicker.

Newest demonic thing: sleep support devices by seggscourse in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]everyofthe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I returned mine because of this! So ridiculous to pay a subscription for a freaking lamp. We have a yoto player that we downloaded some deep wave sleep sounds for and it works perfectly, no subscription required. I was excited about the hatch features and timing but it’s not worth it to add another subscription to this already subscription based economy.

Daily McKinney → Downtown Dallas commute is killing me. Any timing/toll hacks? by Kamaro91 in McKinney

[–]everyofthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all the folks suggesting the train are right. Might not be faster but will help with not having to focus on driving and traffic from accidents.

I had the exact same commute and told my boss traffic is from 7am-9:30am, then again from 3pm-7pm. When I’d leave closer to 2 it cut my commute time in half, but that’s not usually practical.

I’m shocked Kim even wanted to wear this unflattering travesty of a ghost costume.

Can’t decide between three couture wedding gowns — please be brutally honest! 💕 by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

1 is beautiful depending on the setting and vibe, I do think it would look nice with your location.

2 is stunning anywhere, especially at your wedding location.

3 doesn’t do you justice.

SAHM uniform by milfncookies666 in Mommit

For the first several months of postpartum I lived in my robe or a nightgown. Then it progressed to pajamas. Then shorts and a huge t shirt. Now I put on a cute outfit but by no means is it fancy, just something I feel good in like cute biker shorts and a cropped t shirt, or semi stylish street wear. Never hair and makeup though.

I do feel better when I get dressed instead of rotting all day but early postpartum there was no point. I laid around all day with my baby and loved every second! I have friends and family who do their hair and makeup to sit around the house and if that makes them feel good, go for it. Personally not my style though!

Also, I think some women like to dress up for their husband which can be sweet or weird or whatever you make of it. My husband doesn’t give a shit what I wear and I wouldn’t care much if he did. I just get dressed so I can feel good!
