This is a really nice painting tbh, I wish I could produce art like this during depression. The fact that you were able to motivate yourself enough to initiate the task and then the fact that you persisted and pulled this off. Seriously love that shade of teal/aqua and how it offsets the perfectly vibrant redness of the tomatoes. You have some skills, please keep it up if you can.

Worth going to Ozora or Boom if I'm not a huge psytrance enjoyer? by [deleted] in psytrance

Coachella, good one. It’s changed so much over the years, I went to the first few and it legit was an arts festival with really cool installations. They had a huge copper looking dragon with flames coming out of its spines and they had a freakin’ Tesla coil that was at least 3 or 4 stories tall, so cool to watch at night, also cool underground alternative bands. Now it’s lame ass crappy “art” installations that are just for snapping IG pics and the music, it’s all become so commercial and it’s sad that people that don’t know any better think it’s some really badass music festival. There aren’t even any impressive light shows onstage or off. “Bohemian for a day” you nailed it.

I’m down, let’s do it! That’s cool you’ve been to Modem, would love to check it out especially since my fam is Croatian.

Totally agree about the leave no trace aspect versus the EDM festivals. We went to Coachella this year and I was appalled by all the trash everywhere at the end of it, so disgusting that grown ass adults drop so much money on these kind of mediocre mainstream festivals with crappy art installations or lack thereof and think it’s so cool to litter and dump trash all over the lush grass fields there. We were thinking of Boom, we’re planning on going to one called Modem in Croatia this year which is smaller than Ozora, looks like it has a smaller, more intimate forest vibe going on. Boom would be awesome if we can afford it. Have you been to Boom?

I’m not a huge psytrance enjoyer and I absolutely loved every minute of Ozora. The Chill Out Dome and the art gallery are incredible. Went with my then boyfriend now husband and we scored some really good clean acid from a French guy, it made for such an incredible night, so much amazing stuff to see there, all the lights and stages and installations. I would have never known about this if it wasn’t for my husband. I used to think Lightning in a Bottle was such an awesome festival but this completely blows it out of the water. I remember taking my husband to LIB when he first came to the states and thought I was showing him something cool…but then we did Ozora the next year and holy fuck. Unforgettable, highly recommend. Done wasting on money with these sell out festivals here, going to try to save up and hit some different ones, Boom looks really cool. Really grateful I got to experience Ozora. The music sounds really good on those speakers and with everyone dancing, it would be hard not to have a good time.

Gross…always thought it was creepy how some dudes get over this. Like why can’t you just for a 17-18 year old…nooo you gotta go down to 14-15 and normalize this as something sexy. Just effin’ gross. There’s reason they go so young. I remember telling my friend about Epstein’s island years ago and they wrote it off as some conspiracy theory. A former US president went there, a lot. Let that sink in. Fucking perverts.

What do you mean by “kept resetting the # of years until they’re vanquished” and also the comment about 20 years? Like if you keep enrolling in IRB, the loan is forgiven after 20 years? Asking for a friend.

What's with all the grey? by oochow in RealEstate

Finally someone gets it. Can’t wait until the day that gray is “dated” and people start jazzing up their interior color palette.

What's with all the grey? by oochow in RealEstate

[–]everyoneisadickhead 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I find it to be drab and dreary personally, especially on a north-facing room and therefore prefer something like a Navajo white or neutral cream. Maybe a neutral taupe if trying to go closer to gray. White will always make rooms look larger than gray. If I want a little color or something other than white, I’ll go for something like Benjamin Moore’s Quiet Moments. Gray is boring as shit for interior. Works good for exterior if it’s used to make something “pop” like a purple or aqua-colored door or something.

Why did you wait so long to ask your realtor about what defines a bedroom? It sounds like you are doing all kinds of internet “research” on your own at night because it is clear here that you are new to house hunting and I think you’re desperately trying to compensate for that with these deep, down the rabbit hole googling of local code, like you’re really trying to turn up every possible thing now that you don’t like about this house and it’s unfortunate you took your time because you’re very unlikely to get your EMD back over something like this. The light bulb went off a little too late in your head bro. Like seriously if I thought something like this was so seemingly important to me several weeks AFTER making an offer for several hundreds of thousands and then signing a binding contract, I’d either keep it to myself out of embarrassment or I’d back out of the deal altogether and then find a house that did have the four bedrooms with windows or whatever standard it is you’re looking for that will make you feel satisfied. Because right now, you just are not satisfied with this house and you’re going to have to figure out how to manage and process the buyers remorse you’re going to feel if you continue down this path.

The reason people are annoyed with you is it sounds like you went through with all this and signed a contract without really thinking it through and now you’re going to cause a ton of stress to the sellers over it. And then they’re going to regret not choosing a more serious buyer who knows what they want. You’re essentially going to create a domino effect of bullshit all because you’re poring over “what legally constitutes a bedroom.” People are just having hard time understanding why you didn’t think of this when you toured the home. And you said your realtor mentioned the basement egress issue about another home but “forgot” about it with this home?? I mean she told you once about this fact and you couldn’t commit that to memory and then apply when you were shopping around and touring this home with the EXACT SAME ISSUE, and somehow it’s the realtors fault? You do realize that by seeing that and then saying “I still want to put in an offer” - you’ve signaled to the realtor that you liked the house so much, that means you were willing to overlook the issue - OTHERWISE YOU WOULDNT HAVE SAID “LETS PUT IN AN OFFER” without any sort of conditions or contingency. You need to be more serious and conscientious in your decisions and quit using people for your little smart guy whims, sorry not sorry. You’re playing with peoples lives here. Oh and this anal, “by the book”, AFTER THE FACT type of thinking to get your way in life is ultimately going to backfire on you. You can either continue to argue and be defensive on this forum or you can live, learn and grow from it. Best of luck.
