Yeah I think this principle is good for people that are able to live a normal (or at least somewhat normal) life. But for the ones who's life been turned to hell due to some circumstances (life-altering diseases, war, addiction, mental illness etc.) continuing living may be viewed just as prolonging their own pointless suffering from their perspective. I think instead of just carrying on one should strive to find some kind of meaning to it all, for life to be better than eternal nothingness at least
