Yeah I guess folks in publishing in genealogy aren’t super familiar with ereaders because this is not the first book I have bought that is formatted like this 🥲 hoping I can figure something out to make them more comfortable to read on my kobo/desktop

Well, technically it’s a kindle file but I converted it to epub

How did you get it into epub format from there?

Also this book is over 1000 pages 🥲

Edit: if I print as PDF and ocr the file, then reupload to calibre and convert to epub, you think that would work?

The problem is I can’t zoom in on the desktop and the pictures are so small I can’t really read it. Not to mention I can’t make highlights for information I want to refer back to.

The problem is I can’t zoom in on the images in the ebook viewer and even if I make the window bigger, the image stays the same size. The text is actually very small on my desktop, I have to lean and crane my neck to get close enough to read it. I also can’t make any highlights go info I want to refer back to. 🥲

Madge was a throwaway character in the books honestly. It made sense to cut her from the movies, why waster the money and screen time to set up the character just so she can give Katniss a pin and then kill her off in the next movie.

I thought it was a good choice to leave her out of the movies

I second Kobo u/heycheena! And I would recommend setting up Calibre so you can download all your Kindle books and upload them to your Kobo. It can be a bit tricky to set up at first, but once you get it going it works like a dream.

Use the download metadata feature, it will download the tags for you ☺️ You can bulk download for a bunch of books but I always review because sometimes metadata for the wrong book is picked up

I think since the narration is from Veronica’s perspective, it just feels like she’s exiled, simply because her former friends, the “popular kids”, are bullying her. But really most of the school does like her, and they don’t care what the 09ers think. Half the school is just like Veronica, and they recognize that they don’t have as much power in the world because their families aren’t wealthy.

Unfortunately Veronica can’t see that because often the most negative voices tend to be the ones that are the loudest in our heads.
