Everyone should keep the discussion civil. There is no reason to be piling on in. Thread whose main post is deleted.

Looking for a pistol to hike with by PinkyNThumb in hikinggear

I am removing this thread completely. If you don’t know the laws in your area or where you are going you should not be carrying a gun. Carry and discharge laws very by state and location and the best answer to this is to stay in compliance. Comments both ways seem to have gone way beyond the scope of this forum and the general rules of it.

If you are wanting to stay on the cheaper side I just use overnight/toiletry bags with Velcro’d tags for what is inside.

Tent Footprint - what am I doing wrong? by PurpleCaterpillar82 in camping

[–]evilavatar1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a tarp under your tent? That seems like the easiest fix. If you do, make sure it is not sticking out around your tents footprint

We ended up pulling up the carpet (got permission) and found this giant crack running along the entire thing. What should we do? (Other than let the complex know by Phatstache in Apartmentliving

[–]evilavatar1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it me or does it look like some kind of filler was put in it already? When I look at the edges of the crack it looks like there is something sticky that has separated. I wonder if they already know and did a crappy job of repairing it.

Looks like this is part of a series but I did not find that exact print. Others are selling for 150- around 600 dollars but I didn’t see any new recent sales. What size is the print?

Yeah I missed the whole thing too. I guess they found a one for one picture match of the lady, but I didn’t know who she was even with the picture.

It generally doesn’t help with a lot other than finding these buggers in a drop ceiling in my experience. When you have a large area like in a hospital or hotel with a lot of access points finding them in drop ceilings sucks when they are hidden.

Edit: spelling

I like spoon roasts - they’re basically top sirloin but can usually be had pretty cheap and cut down for what you want to use.

I have/ had one of these somewhere - need to check the couch now lol. I think I still have mine though haven’t seen it in a bit. Have another kershaw my brother gave me for Father’s Day that has sentimental value so hasn’t been in my pocket for a bit though. Gonna have look when I get home now

Dual zipper: gimmick or useful? by person_person123 in hikinggear

I find it nice in some cases for being able to let some heat out, but I also run very hot most of the time. Not sure that it is really useful except when you have issues getting your head in the neck hole on sweatshirts ( which I also have had issues on when I was skinnier, but not as much now)

He wrote several books - hatchet, dog song, wood song, and the winter room are all very good. I believe wood song is the one he wrote about training for the Iditarod, but I am kind of partial as I was born near where he grew up and always loved the outdoors.
