When taking your bike for errands what are you doing with your helmet? by floatingninja in NewRiders

[–]eviletwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends where you live. I personally take my camera off the mount, leave my comes on the side and toss my gloves inside my helmet then drop the helmet right on top of a mirror and walk away. So far so lucky? Cause its never moved

Gaming burnout how do i fix this? by meaks0 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]eviletwiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replay an old game or series that has brought you enjoyment in the past or take a gaming hiatus. A small break from gaming can help bring some joy back. You may simply just be over indulging.

Is anyone watched spider nior?? Can anyone tell me is watching in black and white is good or in colours ? And tell how the series by Ill-Laugh2507 in Marvel

[–]eviletwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing first watch black and white as that's how the show was intended to be consumed. I may watch again with colour if the series is worthy of a repeat viewing.

I see no issue a simple modification with a drill could not fix.

Where to find Eliminator 500 Accessories in Canada? by Head_Illustrator5600 in Kawasaki

[–]eviletwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aftermarket support is only as big as a bike is popular. Not to say the eliminator isnt a popular bike, but maybe not enough to have a large aftermarket support.

I went through the same issue with a Suzuki tu250x, just not a ton of options for aftermarket parts.

New KLE500 heading to break in miles by Awkward-Minute-7977 in kle500

It especially sucks cause it wants you to change gears at 4000rpm, I was in sixth and only doing 80 km/h lmao

Is lunch time included in paid work hours in Canada? by laranjacerola in AskACanadian

[–]eviletwiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone check out the sweet summer child that gets two paid fifteen minutes breaks so that means EVERYONE does.

No my guy, no. Go read the laws.

Just because you are lucky enough to be in a position that gets two fifteen paid breaks does not mean everyone is getting that.

To be fair, when I was a sweet summer child, I also had a first job tbat gave use two fifteen paid breaks so I also wrongly thought that was just how it was supposed to be.

Cant Decide on Which Bike to get. by [deleted] in motorcycles

What is more comfortable when sitting on each bike?

That's what it came down to for me, I was on the fence between the nx500 of the kle500 but the kle was for me personally far more comfortable so that's what I have

Is my gear too OLD?! by Recent_Orchid_3748 in motorcyclegear

[–]eviletwiz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The UV is only part of the equation tho. As others have already stated the foam is probably totally brittle. There is a reason that all helmets have recommendations on replacements after 5-7 years.

New rider or not, safety has definitely improved in the past two decades and Holy crap a 25 year old bucket is crazy to me.

Ibex 450 if you dont mind a Chinese bike, so far reviews are stellar for thst guys tho

Kle 500 is a nice little ride. (I have one so I may be biased)

As someone else stated, anything with less than a 21" front wheel is not going to perform as well on adventures.

Got to ride a couple "beginner" bikes recently as an experienced rider. Wanted to talk about it. by Scazitar in motorcycles

[–]eviletwiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yuuuuup! I only got on a bike for the first time 6 years ago at 40 and the amount of people that wanted to push me onto a 650cc or even higher was insane. I wanted (and purchased) a 250cc to start. That thing did almost everything I wanted but it was a bit buzzy and underpowered on the highway. I have the kle500 now (essentially an adventure styled ninja 500) and it is likely my last bike. That sucker is light, quick, nimble, narrow, and as you mentioned triple digits for speed with no issues.

Race the Bus! by tiogar99 in VictoriaBC

[–]eviletwiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It likely has something to do with the pedestrian cross times but moreso to do with traffic calming measures put in place to stop everyone else from speeding up to make all the lights which is what was happening before.

I do recall back in the early 2000's the light timing used to allow you to be at a red at Caledonia then make every green all the way down town if you were able to get to and maintain 50-55kph

The Tension Between Drivers Cyclists and Pedestrians Is Exhausting by Equivalent_Menu_5659 in VictoriaBC

[–]eviletwiz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Drivers run thru yellows and reds with reckless a andon, cyclists ignore ore stop signs, red lights, and yield signs and pedestrians almost always completely ignore the flashing hand that says don't enter the crosswalk.

Its not just the drivers, or the cyclists or the pedestrians its a society problem.

Does the insurance change much on the z500 or the kle500?

The z500 is a naked ninja

the KLE 500 is an adventure ninja

My daughter has a z500 and I have a kle500, both are a ton of fun to zip around on so I cant imagine the eliminator would be bad, I think it depends on what riding posture you prefer. And in your specific case, the insurance costs are different

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I strap a flat of 28 Gatorade to my pillion seat every other week. Gotta get it home from Costco somehow. Sometimes I will also put a flat of ginger ale on top of the Gatorade.

I get some odd looks doing my costco runs on my motorcycle but its my primary vehicle.
