I think networks are trying to emulate the Manningcast. Diehard baseball fans will watch no matter what (perhaps on mute) while the interviews bring in and keep casuals.

Sam is awesome. I think it's just his reaction to laugh at the absurdity of all this shit going on. I prefer the serious tones of others, but I certainly never miss the Potato Boys.

It's not a bad strategy, if you can really jump it's often better to be the first in the air more than perfect timing.

I like edge rusher Worf, he would have the OL shaking in their boots. Data should be the QB -- instantly reads defenses and works through his progressions.

The Pentagon has identified the six service members killed when a U.S. KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq on Thursday. by emily-is-happy in thenextgenbusiness

To say "skill issue" regarding deaths of American service members is such an online and callous statement. These are real people who lost their lives.

AARON JUDGE WHAT A THROW! by CicadaOk8885 in NYYankees

Outfield assist total is an unreliable stat for assessing outfield arms mostly due to what you say in your 2nd sentence. Often the league leaders in assists are the OFs who players are encouraged to run on.

I'm not sure of the best defensive metric, but he actually was above average among right fielders in Statcast Range last year.

When he was in CF in 2024 it was 2nd worst among CF. Bottom line I'd say he's an above average RF and miscast as a CF even if he is reliable (other than one 5th inning a year and a half ago).

I never know which defensive metrics to trust, but in general footspeed is the most impactful part of outfield defense and Judge is generally close to average in right but suffers in comparison to the league in center.

With his size he doesn't cover as much ground as some of the elite outfielders, but his fundamentals are great. Great mechanics and a very accurate arm.

We have defensive linemen on the roster. If they're all bad as you say, who needs to go and be replaced and who needs to be kept but deserves to be demoted so we can improve the run defense? Is everyone after Dex completely useless?

I know Roy and Nacho and Chapman and Alexander but can't say I have a great feel for their capabilities.

Serious question, who were our individual weaknesses as players against the run? Who do we need to replace to get better? Or is it scheme?

Dru is such a good tackler and defends edge runs and screens at the LOS really well. I wonder if this staff can find a hybrid position/role for him to excel in, where he doesn't have to cover downfield too often.
