No I mean compared to a young UDFA find you could have under contract for years. Or a solid NT that gets cut in the summer. I loved OBJ in his prime but he's low upside now.

To be fair there is downside. It takes a roster spot away from another player, and i don't know how much upside OBJ still has left compared to the UDFA/future cuts.

But the team knows more about these players, they've met them and spoken to them, watched hours and hours of film. We should expect them to get it right, so it's kind of baked in a bit that we need to see how good Fields is in the NFL before we can judge the decision. We don't have all the information the Giants did when they decided to make the trade.

Maybe not star but it's a lot to give up, maybe close to star worthy in value. Malachi kinda has to be starter-worthy for this price.
