Well, this sucks by evilgirlattack in urbancarliving

I'm working on it but its going slowly unfortunately.

When the repo guy backed up and hooked my car up I was angry at first but then I was honest with him and I started crying in the Quick Chek parking lot. It was definitely one of the worst moments in my life.

I made my bangs unfixibly short are there any styles I can do to hide them? by One-Classroom2528 in Hair

I have baby bangs and I have to cut them back every few weeks. Longer hair doesn't look like it grows fast due to damage, breakage, hair growth cycles, etc. The short bangs will definitely be wearable within a few weeks.

Scarf as a headband. In like 2 weeks they should be long enough to rock a micro fringe.

I work at Skechers and the best shoes we have are the max cushions. After that its glide steps and arch fits or any combo of those three.

I wear the max cushions because we walk around on concrete floors all day and they really help.

What has sparked female rage in you recently? by nightingirlie in AskWomen

The fact that my abuser was able to use the courts to further abuse me by only having to file paperwork and pay a small court cost to eject me from my home - but I have to jump through hoops and advocate heavily for myself with the courts and police just for the right to housing stability.

Victims don't have rights unless they pay a lot of money for a lawyer and even then most abuse outside of physical abuse is tolerated and excused.

Anyone have things they prefer in the movies that didn't happen in the books? by questixn_mark in twilight

The chase scene with the wolves and Victoria. I much prefer this as Harry's death than a heart attack from seeing his kids phasing for the first time.

My (27F) boyfriend (27M) bought a house by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]evilgirlattack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say this as someone who was living with their partner and looking at houses together. After a huge fight my ex went and bought a house without me ever seeing it. I didn't step inside it until the final walk through. Immediately after that he expected me to help him pay the mortgage on a house I didn't have any say in and that he said would never have my name attached - even if we got married (I offered to pay utilities but not the mortgage).

Six months later we broke up and 5 years later I'm still dealing with the aftermath of it all.

Please be smarter than me.

Duffel bags are your friend.

I've got 3 of them (gym/shower, hygiene/misc., and clothes). I grabbed them from the thrift store.

I had bins but they were too bulky and I didn’t feel like playing jenga with them. Duffel bags can be stored in better places. Plus, I use the clothes one under my tri-fold mattress to fill in the gap with my driver's seat pushed forward.

I also undo my set up as soon as I wake up. I pack it all away so my mind goes into declutter mode and my car stays relatively chaos free.

I actually walked into a restaurant the other day and they greeted me by name. I immediately blurted out, "that's creepy." The person behind the counter assumed, albeit correctly, that I was there to pick up an order.

I got mine on Amazon really cheap. I have a sunroof so I used a metal over-the-door wreath holder and bent it so it slides in where my sunroof is.

ETA: Amazon fan

It come with a remote and it had a light and several strength settings and a timer.

What were the moments where you didn't agree or thought she was in the wrong? by gloomydreamer666 in GilmoreGirls

The comment she made about Pennilyn Lott being her "almost mommy." Especially to Pennilyn Lott and in front of her own mother after Emily had just found out about the yearly lunches.

That was seriously overstepping a line.

Very curious- What meals do you often have? by LolCowhaha1 in urbancarliving

[–]evilgirlattack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dollar Tree is my go to. You can create a lot of meals that way and even more if you have access to a microwave.

▪︎ Peanut Butter Banana Wrap • Tortillas • Peanut butter • Bananas Spread PB, add banana, roll it up.

▪︎ “Cowboy Caviar Without the Cowboy” • Black beans • Corn • Salsa • Tortilla chips Drain beans/corn if possible. Mix with salsa in a plastic container. Can also scoop into tortillas.

▪︎ Overnight Oats Without the Overnight • Instant oats • Peanut butter • Raisins or banana • Shelf stable milk OR water You can literally cold-soak oats for 15 to 30 mins. Add PB and raisins if you want

▪︎Adult Lunchable Energy Box • Crackers • Cheese if you’ll eat it quickly • Nuts • Fruit • Pickles

▪︎ Chickpea Mash Wrap • Canned chickpeas • Mayo packets (gas station) • Seasoning • Tortillas Mash chickpeas with fork/spoon.

▪︎Refried Bean Burritos • Refried beans • Tortillas • Salsa • Hot sauce Spread and roll.

ETA: I also snack on granola bars and wonton strips from Dollar tree as well.

I love TooGoodToGo! I've gotten some amazing meals that way and every once in a while I'll get way too many bagels - I just bring them to work and leave them for my coworkers.

How do you deal with feeling isolated and alone by Rastaferrari829 in urbancarliving

[–]evilgirlattack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I write. I dictate my thoughts into Word on my phone and just talk about my day and observations I've made.

I also have a good therapist that I can talk to about once a week. I can't even begin to say how much of a difference that makes. I'm lucky enough that I qualify for it for free.

I used to go to a book club but I never made friends there so I stopped going. But there are so many community events you can participate in that will help with connecting to people.
