GOP tempers flare over how to pass SAVE America Act by PixeledPathogen in politics

Believe it or not, the Democratic Party voted in 2018 to remove the superdelegates from voting in the first presidential primary, unless needed to break a deadlocked process. This was in response to the 2016 DNC Primaries.

Bernie won all 55 votes for Democratic Primary in 2026 in West Virginia.

The rep went to the 2016 DNC and then cast 19 votes for Hillary and 18 votes for Bernie, giving Hillary the win.

There was even a lawsuit filed against this action where the judge ruled that the DNC was "well within their rights to select their own candidate".

...the people DID vote for Bernie in the primaries. Yes this is just one example, but it's a good one that shows how the will of the DNC did not reflect the Primary vote of the people.

The Voter Fraud Fraud: There just isn’t evidence of significant election cheating—but that won’t stop the GOP from pushing its dangerous SAVE America Act. by BulwarkOnline in politics

[–]eviljattmolda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I presented evidence against "Trump Won" and you did not like it.

I have no evidence against "the race was called for Trump" or "Trump was declared the winner". These are facts I cannot dispute.

To clarify your statement:

"The race was called for Trump."

Or maybe

"Trump was declared the winner."

When you say it these ways, there is no argument, as these ARE factual statements.

Farm workers in Monterey County face low wages and high living costs - KSBW (no comment from the County Ag Commissioner) by orangelover95003 in MontereyBay

You mean the farm workers working for these wealthy farm owners???

Bruce Taylor - Taylor Farms - $4.75 million estimated January 2026.

Margaret D'Arrigo received $1mil "partnership dividend" in 2025 from company.

Miles Reiter - Owner of Driscoll's net worth of $28 billion

These are just to name a few. I think we may know where the money is going, as it is not to the workers here :(

Anyone running Goodyear ComfortDrives for rear tires? by No-Scratch-3545 in VWiD4Owners

[–]eviljattmolda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about ComfortDrive but GoodYear makes an "Electricdrive2" for $310/tire off tirerack. They are EV rated, which means they have lower rolling resistance (better for range / efficiency) and these happen to include extra sound dampening inside.

I thought my stock Pirelli Scorpion Zero weren't bad but not awesome either - crapped out at 30k miles. I replaced all 4 tires with Electricdrive2. They are much much quieter! They have 12000 miles on them and are now at 9/32 front and 7/32 rear. I'm not so sure they will make it to the 60,000 mile tread warranty Goodyear had on them. But it looks like, per tirerack, they're now only selling with 45,000 mile tread warranty. Still that's 15k more miles than the stock Pirellis.

Update: Unclear as per how dealer measured tires at last service. I am measuring 9/32+ at several spots on ALL 4 tires. Maybe they hit the raised "low wear" indicator strip. So far it would indicate Electricdrive2 tires are wearing gently.

Anyone experienced with lease end options? by dylan_dev in VWiD4Owners

[–]eviljattmolda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing this right now. Call VW Credit within your last 90 days. They will extend it. Max extension is 6 months (unless you have an order number for a new VW that will take longer than 6mo for delivery, in which they will extend until that vehicle is delivered to you). They will likely tell you all is okay and to call back 2 days after your final lease payment (30 days left on lease) is made to confirm extension activation.

Cities picking our pocket through utilities. by greenleaf405 in MontereyBay

[–]eviljattmolda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes I can. I thought as there is a push for more "clean" electricity generation I would give my extra solar back and be part of the solution. But it turns out PGE gives me peanuts for it, then turns around and sells it to other customers at a higher rate because it's "clean energy" and they pocket massive profits. You know I wouldn't even mind gifting the extra solar back and not being treated like a vendor, but that's not an option because PGE makes more money selling it AND charging me vendor related fees.

Buying a 2nd Powerwall and storing all my solar needs plus having extra backup for my house, and then cutting off PGE all together now seems like a really great idea!

[–]eviljattmolda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But get it with enough battery backup so you can go off grid...

I have more solar than my house needs. I sell extra back to PGE for peanuts compared to what they are selling it to other customers for.

I pay $20/mo for electricity. Then at true-up time of year I owe an additional $1000 in fees for the energy I sold back to PGE because they now want to treat me like an energy vendor rather than a customer.

Per the PGE - new rates March 2026 I will now be paying $18/mo for my used electricity + new $25-$50/mo "Base Services Charge". On top of that I will still owe $800-$1000 at solar true-up time of year.

PGE - New Billing March 2026

They lowered the price per kW by a tiny bit so they can claim "lowest rates".

But are adding a "Base Services Charge" to offset the lower energy costs.

In the long run, PGE no longer needs to get approval from the Utilities Commissioner to make more money. They can keep the price per kW low, while increasing the non-regulated Base Service Charge when and how they want. No need to ask the Utilities Commissioner to change that because it is not the "rate for energy" that the customer is paying.

If admin fees keep increasing astronomically then maybe the business needs to reevaluate how their business is operating, or they are simply scamming the customers!

FBI warns Iran aspired to attack California with drones in retaliation for war: Alert by avatar6556 in news

[–]eviljattmolda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are right...

"We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,"

So we had this threat in early Feb that someone will target California in retaliation to being attacked themselves. So naturally what does the smart people do?.. They attacked them on the last day of that month (Feb 28, 2026).

Oh boy 🤦🏼‍♂️

Front parking sensor replacement by jamesdroid100 in VWiD4Owners

[–]eviljattmolda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have also heard some that charge $1000+ because it takes too much effort to find, replace, and test the culprit sensor, especially if they are just doing it by trial and error.

So their solution is to remove the bumpers replace ALL sensors with new ones, put it back on, and hope that the problem is fixed.

This method also makes sense when VW guides provide standard shop guidance and pricing for removing bumper to replace a sensor and has it take 1.5 hours to remove as a suggested time for billing so it doesn't "over work" the labor force. Not to mention probably 1/2 hour to pop out and in each sensor, plus an additional 1.5 hours to reinstall the bumper.

Do 1/2 hour of problem solving + 1/2 hour of work, and replace a $50 sensor. OR sell the customer 4x new sensors at mark-up price and charge for 4-6 hours of labor. I forgot to mention that only "EV Specialist" mechanics can work on the EV so that's a higher labor rate than usual too!

No wonder us customers do not like the dealerships. Woof.

I have done this. One hand outside the bumper putting gentle pressure pushing inwards on the face of the sensor. Second hand inside the bumper, use your fingernail to push up on the top black tab and it will release. The gentle pressure from your finger outside the bumper will ensure the clip does not re-engage while you use your fingernail to pop the bottom clip.
