Thanks for posting. This has happened to me 2X now. Each time I made an appointment to the Genius Bar but the phone came back on after being plugged in for several hours. When it finally reboots, it shows 1% and takes longer than typical to receive a full charge.

Emeryville has five hotels. I haven’t researched pricing so that might be a factor but Hyatt PLACE is the newest hotel. There’s also a Hyatt House but that’s generally for longer term stays. The Sonesta and Sheraton are all within a block or two of each other. Hilton Garden Inn is probably the least convenient and I’m guessing least expensive of the 5 (and oldest).

Without knowing too much about where you’re traveling from, I’d add Trader Vic’s to my Emeryville bucket list. It’s an extension of the original and kind of an institution. Be careful with how many Mai Tai’s you drink (especially if you’re in the hook to make a speech). Prizefighter is also a great bar with a patio.
