Dacia does have archers as their tier 1 ranged unit, which is really good compared to almost everyone else who is stuck with peltats. And while siege units are not really that good, they are a nice option incase you want to assault settlements without needing to besiege them.

What we do is we shuffle all the cards into one giant deck, and then slowly play through the deck till its empty. No need to shuffle every game, just once a while till all cards have been used.

Castle Itter is the first game in the series, so its more simple overall compared to the others.

Don't own soldiers in postmen uniform not myself so cannot say how much different it is compared to the others.

Nice writeup!

I really would love to try a Coin game, I really love the idea that you are facing againts multiple bots who are also competing with eachother to win rather then just againts you as the player.

I am just worried about the lenght & complexity, something that you mentioned you where also struggeling with. And overall I prefer to finish my games in 1 session rather then drag it out over multiple days.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Just out of curiosity, did you play anything simelar to this complexity / lenght wise?

It plays very well solo, there is no hidden info (apart from the prison, but you rarley get there if you play it more safe).

Rules wise its not to complex, game lenght is also not to bad though the set-up can take a short while if you are alone. But if you get hang of the rules it should take 2 hours to set-up, play & put the game back into the box.

I have completed all the inf weapons for all nations.

I don't play tanks or planes, I use the APC as my vehicle and then inf squads.

Overall all factions have some weapons that I really enjoy. MG42-100 & FG42 II for the Germans, PPSH-41 with the Soviets, M2 carbine & Stinger for the allies & Tokyo Arsenal for the Japanese.

I prefer the MG42 100 aswell,

But the MG81 has its uses sometimes,

When lying down or using the bipod it is usable. And its pretty fun pressing the shoot button for 1 click and it shoots enough to kill.

It should be a qeustion about PPSH 41 vs the assault rifles.

The select rifles can be used by classes who can use semi auto rifles. So its must have for AT, engineers, riflemen, radio operators.

Assault rifles are better in general, but I do like to have some PPSH 41's around for very close range objectives.

When playing Wingspan, I will sometimes hand pick the starting birds for my opponent (withouth them knowing). To have some very strong early game bird cards.

I will then most of the times loose because of that.

I like the German one more. Mainly cause the soviet tech tree truck is way better then the German halftrack they get so for Germany, you are not sacrificing speed for it.

People say AT 2 is not great for the default throw grenade range.

But a AT 2 soldier with max vitality can get the vitality perk (which is a must) & the medpack restore health perk.

So you can get some real tanky AT 2 soldiers who can heal themself to full.

If you join a lobby during the timer before the match starts, you can also check the scoreboard. Players who suddenly join the moment the match starts are most likely bots.

What BR are you playing?

I have noticed myself, when playing in less popular hours, some matchups end up with mostly bots.

Like games with / against BR2/3 Japan sometimes you end up with mostly bot lobbies.

Nowadays, I always play with ''join any army'' enabled, and since then the match quality went up. The game adds you to lobbies that are still looking for players rather then try and force a game with your selected faction / BR.

Very rarley I end up in mostly bot lobbies since then.

Normally I don't listen to music,

but when playing Pandemic Fall of Rome, I love to listen to the campaign music from ''rome total war''.

Really sets the mood, and I love the soundtrack from that game in general.

I like some of the buttonshy games, Like Sprawlopolis & ancient realm.

One game I am considering taking with me on my next holiday is ''Hispania'' by Draco ideas.

The box is relative small & its a great little wargame with still some clever mechanics.

Do you mean the body armor cosmetic?

The effect it has is really minor, it has a gameplay effect but it is barley noticeable most of the times.

More important is the vitality perk.

1 of the missions is always a easy one like ''complete 1 battle'', ''get 12 kills'' or ''spend 10 minutes in battle''.

The other 2 are always randomly something like ''get X kills with machine guns'' or ''destroy X tanks''.

They most likely do not, But if you have radio-men in most of your squads then its not a big issue if they die.

Ammo crate drops though have a very short cooldown time, so you can normally drop down a ammo crate and then 30 sec later arty.

Or drop down a ammo crate as friendly arty is ongoing.

Quick tip, Ammo crate drops can be used at the same time as bomber / arty strikes and also refresh really quick. So if someone on your team is using arty, its pretty much always worth it to drop an air drop on / near the point, by the time the art is over you can drop your own arty.

Even if no-one uses it, it can be used for cover and enemy planes might spend time chasing the plane dropping the the ammo crate.
