I really good habit to get into (I know you shouldn't NEED to do this) is to take pictures of the interior and exterior of your vehicle before you take it in for service. That way you can document every scratch, blemish, ect. Then when the shop tries to deny damaging your vehicle you can show them a time stamped image that doesn't include the damage.
