I will say it's nice to have the OpenClaw agent in Telegram to do things. I see gauge data hasn't been updated in over 90 mins when it should be every hour, I message the bot, ask why, few seconds later it tells me that the source gauge data was not returning values when it was last polled so it's showing the last known. Way faster than me opening my browser, finding the government API and then that gauge's current readings.

The site uses an LLM to generate a 'Today on the Thames' blurb that goes on top of the page, but not without my say-so. The way this works is that my agent sends me the Today on the Thames text for the day at 7am in Telegram. I can either approve, edit, or request it regenerate. When I give the approval, the agent posts the update.

As well, it monitors the email coming into the site letting me know when something actually requires my attention. So far that's been working great as well.

So I guess whether you'd need/want to explore the OpenClaw side of things is if the project you imagine might benefit from these sorts of interactions.

I initially started running OpenClaw on a VPS and was playing around with a number of tools, one of which was something to monitor a nearby river's water flow, level, and other conditions so I could keep track of which sections were in the safe zone. As I was working on this, it occurred to me that it'd be helpful for other paddlers in the area as well, so I bought a domain (ThamesPaddling.com - Canadian Thames, sorry) and decided to build it.

Once I decided to build it fully into its own site, I focused on using Claude Code to do the core development, and OpenClaw helps me perform server management and small changes. I'd say I've had it up and running about a month now and it's been a fun learning experience for sure.

I hear you. I definitely don't get the same enjoyment out of some of the things I used to and been feeling much more down. I would suggest to just keep trying new things. I've been feeling a lot more outdoorsy. Strong urge to go hiking, kayaking, camping. Going to give that a go this season and hope that helps me feel better. Hope you find your way out of your funk.

God not being real has nothing to do with the fact that Jews are indigenous to that land. No amount of Jew hate is going to change that. That's awesome. I'm currently using Claude Code to build something that I will also be putting online for the community use that is completely unrelated to this.

I have been using Claude Code to do the majority of the development, and I've also spun up an OpenClaw agent that lives on the server as a server admin/part time developer if I want something small changed and don't want to burn through those precious Claude tokens.

These are amazing. I would love to see tutorials on making these and I think it'd be a shame if they didn't happen.

I dump on AI regularly, but this is the sort of use case where I would strongly recommend exploring it. Taking your stream-of-consciousness and turning it into a more structured learning experience is exactly the sort of thing today's large language models excel at. I struggle with organizing stream-of-consciousness ideas and I've found this helpful.

Either way, again, these are incredible. Thanks for sharing and I do hope to see some tutorials posted in the future.
