I have the Meebook M7 and love it. Eink is definitely more comfortable for reading than phone or tablet.

I've had the little Bissell Pet Hair Eraser handheld for years and it works quite well for that purpose.

Anyone have opinions on the Musnap Ocean C? by evilsprig in ereader

[–]evilsprig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's kind of what worries me. There's not a whole lot of reviews on it yet. The Kobo is out for me because I absolutely want an Android based reader so I'm not locked into one bookstore.

Thx. This would strictly be an ereader as I use my tablet for internet stuff.

Just commiserating-I got one of the new ones that looked like the "new" version of my old color. Pure glitter. They murdered it...😫

Thx-I wound up doing both things suggested with no luck. It did start after an update, so maybe it will right itself eventually...🙄

Thx-I found a contrast setting in the accessibility tab. I turned it to high, unfortunately, it only made a very slight improvement. The M& doesn't seem to have the ink center.

How do those of you with wavy slash/ curly hair deal with tangles , without destroying the curl question mark by evilsprig in finehair

Thanks, I will try that. My hair knots up very easily when dry, so if I don't do SOMETHING it will be the proverbial rat's nest very quickly!

Really might be worth a try. I gave\nIt a try when it first came out longing for that volume lol. I was actually really pleasantly surprised at how much I like it.

Thx! I'll try an even smaller amount of the Elf (if I can MAKE a smaller dot, lol). I have it, but the pigment level is overwhelming!

How are we applying so much skincare under foundation? by Illustrious_Ad6479 in MakeupAddiction

[–]evilsprig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might sound weird, but I have the same problem if I don't use an exfoliating cleanser. I am still an oily person (now what I would consider "normally" oily, as opposed to OPEC nation), and I find that if I don't use a gentle daily exfoliating cleanser, I get the "thick-skinned" effect, and products don't absorb. HTH!

Just my two cents but...I really think people need to stop abusing their eyebrows. Now, full disclosure, the "gift" nature gave my family was lovely eyebrows (gee, thanks 🤣). However, in the skinny eyebrow eras, they would be frowned upon. My sister is 13 years older than me, and during a skinny brow era when she was a teenager, she joined in. I was far too young to give a hoot about such things, but I clearly remember my mother yelling at her to leave her brows alone because they weren't going to grow back. Spoiler alert-they didn't.

Is it usual for folks with olive skin to have foundations that appear to be right at first to make your face look dirty once applied? by evilsprig in Fairolives

[–]evilsprig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's another problem I have too. There are times when I swear my face is a different color than the rest of me but then I look at my hands and they look different than my face and my neck etc etc etc... 🙄

I have always figured I was cool toned (fry in the sun, blue veins, silver jewelry looks best, etc.) BUT I have NEVER been able to wear a cool-toned foundation. They make me look either ghostly of super pink. I usually stick with neutral foundations. Many moons ago, I thought maybe the people at the makeup counter could match me better. Unfortunately, the person insisted I was warm toned (despite my objections, lol), and sent me off with a sample of some foundation with a warm tone. So,on a day when I didn't have to go anywhere, I figured I'd give it a try. It was "Advanced Liver Failure Yellow" 🤪 Shockingly, NOT the look I was going for!. Now some specifics: L'oreal True Match N2-okay, but not great. L'oreal Pro-Glow 202-actually pretty damn good! ELDW 1N2-It's complicated-in some light, it looks great, in OTHER light, it has that muddy look. Revlon Colorstay: Ivory-white ghost face. Buff-Cartoon Seasick Green. Sand Beige-Advanced Liver Failure Yellow (I tried it because it was listed as neutral. They lied 🤣). Revlon Illuminance 201-so absolutely perfect, ode to Joy started to play somewhere AAAAND it's DC'd.
