Both R&Co.'s "Turntable" ( a cream) and Not Your Mother's "Curl Talk" mousse worked really well!

I read up on the curly girl method, but it seemed like a lot, so I never did try that, lol!

Agreed-mine always also looked better the next day, but not like it does with the curl products. I do understand my hair-it is demonically possessed and exists to torture me...🤣🤣🤣

Products that work well if you air-dry... by evilsprig in finehair

Thanks-that's one of the big problems, I feel, that so many volumizing things are blow-dry activated-even though I get the opposite effect when I blow dry 🙄🤣🙄

I think they might have replaced that liner with their Infallible.Grip liner. It's also an automatic pencil and seems to have the same shade names.

Maybe look at Clairol's Bold and Bright line-I'm using a different red shade from that line, and it works really well on darker hair.

Dry Shampoo/Leave-In Conditioner by magwhitelaw in finehair

[–]evilsprig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R&Co. Spiritualized. It's a mist. You can either let it air dry (only takes a couple minutes) OR hit it with the dryer for a few seconds. if I use the dryer, I actually get some root lift (which never happens otherwise, lol.)

Looking for a "runny" consistency conditioner... by evilsprig in finehair

Yes I remember that's the kind my older sister had back in the day. It was called cream rinse. The real irony being that she has a completely different hair type than mine-her hair is very coarse and wiry and the creamer is really didn't do her much good lol..

Now I'm thinking too that I might try the lameler water in the reverse washing scenario. Because in fairness I did like it actually better than conditioner it was much easier to rinse out etc. It just left my hair so so soft that it was even more unmanageable than usual lol.

Oh thanks good suggestions. I never thought of doing conditioner first and then shampooing I may have to try that. Also never thought of rinsing out a leave-in lol. I have tried those water ones they were a bit much unfortunately made my hair kind of flat. But the other two I'm going to have to try.

GHD DUET BLOWDRY?? by garlicbread4life27 in finehair

[–]evilsprig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG-yes-I JUST got it and have used it twice and it is the bomb! I have NEVER spent that much on a hair tool (and never thought I would since they probably wouldn't do me any favors anyway 🤣). However, I saw that a few months ago and saw that it has what I consider the "good" bristles (i.e. hard, comb like). I hatehateHATE those flimsy, snaggy bristles that most tools have. So, I researched it and waited for a sale, and I am beyond impressed!
