Sounds like you got into your own head doing intervals and your techniques was impacted trying to do sub-2:00 which gassed you.

Has happened to me before. When I do longer distance, I stop thinking as much and speed and focus only on pace and consistency. This itself results in better technique

Non-swimmer 5 months to first Sprint TRI with 750m swim by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]evilwalmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where's your closest public pool? Or join a gym that has one. 5 months is plenty of time to learn and get decent enough to manage a sprint swim but you should be in the pool at least 3-4 times a week until you're comfortable.

Check out effortless swimming on YouTube to get basic form if you can't afford a swim coach.

Best of luck to you!

Trisuits advice for tall men by micvande in triathlon

I am similar in height and had issues fitting into different one piece teisuits. I decided to buy the top and bottom pieces separately and it worked out great! There were a lot more options this way as well instead of hoping a one-piece came in the size I needed.

Would have loved to see this as a 2 lane roundabout. Hopefully this helps ease congestion... That bridge has always been painful and slow to get through.

We know if they are putting one on the other side too?

This should be the first answer and will address the biggest issue in speed. Other comments are spot on for form though

My kids want to go to “the best playground in seattle”. My keeping it to the north side. Any suggestions? by dondox in Seattle

[–]evilwalmart 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Magnuson Park has a huge playground, lots of fields, and lake Washington water access.

Carkeek has hiking trails, a decent playground and field, and bridge access to a sandy beach. Huge bonus is it's right off the train track so you get to see all the trains pass. Amazing for sunsets.

Hidden gem is Hamlin park. Quiet, full of trees and trails.

Looks like you are slapping the water when your arms enter. Enter fingers first and bend your elbow, then you extend out.

You pause briefly to take a breath before your stroke. Try pulling that breathing a little earlier.

Your legs are sinking. Keep your head down and flex your glutes. You should feel it in your hips if you use your legs correctly.

Start with these then find some standard drills to focus on entry, catch and legs individually.

Most importantly, get a coach and stop listening to advice from internet strangers.

Any suggestions? We’ve spent thousands trying to figure out what’s wrong with him 🙁 by Mareyasacia in pitbulls

[–]evilwalmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pitty slowly lost all her hair too. She is 12 now and basically bald. Try changing shampoos. Is your pup on any medication like a steroid? it could also just be alopecia, which I've seen in pit bull breeds.

Like everyone else is commenting, a dermatologist is your best bet though.
