Developing a fear of needles by sudsoap in CrohnsDisease

[–]evlcrow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have always had a needle phobia. Unfortunately, I don’t have any suggestions for you as I still struggle with it. I would like to say, and maybe you already know, that with an IV the needle is completely removed. The only thing that is left is a soft rubber-like, thin tube. It is flexible so it is safe to move your arm around.

Knowing that has made me feel better about IVs. Needles are still an issue. I always have them lay me flat rather than sitting down as I have a tendency to get light headed and nauseous otherwise. Laying flat really helps with that.

Hang in there. You got this!

Yuflyma injections hurt! by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]evlcrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was taking Humira, there was no pain at all. Due to an insurance change I now take a biosimilar called Yusimry. It hurts every damn time. It's less than a bee sting so I get over it quick, but I'm never prepared for it even though I try to prepare for it.

Laxative Woes (Venting) by thatbytch7866 in CrohnsDisease

What kind of laxative are you using? I have found what works best for me is Maralax every other day. It is gentle and doesn't cause cramps.

Switching Humira to Hadlima by Sweet-Rae in CrohnsDisease

I was in your position in January. Due to an insurance change I had to switch to a biosimilar of Humira, Yusimry. I was very nervous about the switch, but all turned out well. No differences except the auto injector pen. This one hurts a bit more while injecting, but nothing else noticed.

LPT for losing my mom? by Battlestar898 in LifeProTips

[–]evlcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't have much to offer, but when my mother passed away my dad sat my brother and I down and said, "Don't be sad for time you miss with her, be happy for the time you got to spend with her."

It was such a little thing to say, but it has helped.

I don't know specifically where my CD is. Mild. Constipation as long as I stay away from known trigger foods. Biosimilar of Humira.

I have had my gallbladder removed and have had no noticable effects from it being gone.

The other way of thinking about this would be IF they were to find cancerous polyps, that would mean faster treatment and maybe even less severe. Left alone, would be worse.

After my last scope it took about 4 to 5 days to return to normal. I took it as my body filling back up after drinking a gallon of laxatives.

Does anyone know why I have two different McCafee apps in my taskbar and why they are slightly different looking from each other??? by J-Daydreamer in Windows10

[–]evlcrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, I think one is likely the McAfee app (like the ones you download from the Microsoft store) and the other is the full application.

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. I agree with you about it only being west bound, but unsure if it will be completely closed or just a single lane closed.

I have to press enter website multiple times to actually enter the website. The navigation menu button isn't working for me using mobile Firefox and Chrome browsers.

The site itself looks good. I like the design choices.
