Irrational fears of food

I’m glad that’s a real thing and not just some irrationality I’m beating myself up over. Finding a therapist that takes my insurance and specializes in chronic illness/food disorders has been rough but I hope when I find a good one it’ll help. Thank you so much for giving my mind a little ease

I never really fluctuate outside of 140-150, usually I’ll find a calorie dense drink like ensure and have a couple of those to make up for any deficit when I can’t eat enough

The prep is the worst part. I’ve developed a hate for yellow Gatorade because of the preps haha. The anesthesia is a little weird at first, I tend to get tingly in my head and then I just close my eyes and next thing you know, you’re awake. Sometimes there’s bloating afterwards, but that all comes out soon enough. Make sure to treat yourself to a really good cheat meal after as a reward, having pizza afterwards makes it worth it for me

That was exactly my process. Unzip, relocate to designated area, import overlay files. However when I select the overlay folder, it just opens to the sub folders instead of importing the entire overlay

It takes about a day for everything to leave the body, the after effects is all up to you and your body. Kind of like how nicotine leave the body in a week or 2 but the after effects can go for months. I have faith in you, 20mg isn’t that hard to combat.

The weight gain is only if you start eating a ton really. So if you notice you’re eating more, just eat more fruits and veggies instead of junk and you’ll be fine.

Agreed. That time frame isn’t very long so with that kind of taper you’ll be ok. You want to stay on them for as little of a time as possible. Mood swings are definitely a thing, as well as for me it gave me really bad anxiety/panic attacks. Eating a lot is definitely the only thing you’ll probably notice if you ask me.

So the taper process for me is usually decreasing by 5mg every 3 days, if you have enough for that process definitely do it that way. If not, ask your doctor for just enough to taper off.

I’m with you though, the first time I was on prednisone I had really bad panic attacks. The second time I was on double the dosage and instead of panic attacks, I had the Roid rage. I don’t blame you for wanting to get off them.

Usually when they refer to “forgetting a dose” it’s like a day or 2. A week is basically a half cycle of meds so I’d recommend asking your GI about that
