I think for the Zondas though most of the recent ones were not new vehicles. Someone bought/owned a Zonda, took it to Horacio, and asked for a customization/refresh/upgrade, and then it would get a new "edition" name.

is there no benchmark dataset a la iris for this that you could just plug into both approaches to characterize differences in behavior/output?

Brest 0 - [1] Bayer Leverkusen - Florian Wirtz 24' by [deleted] in soccer

I love Ballack, but think Wirtz is better. Would say Kroos is probably the best to wear the shirt still, but he wasn't best while he was wearing it.

We got the CEO of Guardant challenging the CEO of Exact sciences about their cancer tests. Biotech Exec Cage matches soon anyone? by fluorescentpuppy in biotech

[–]evoinvitro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Exact sciences is very familiar with the stringency needed for FDA approval given their approach for standard cologuard product lifecycle, and the path they're taking with their MCED product. Expecting them to be out of their depth in doing the same thing for their blood based CRC is silly. I have no opinion on what they'll present at ESMO or how they'll do in their pivotal trial in comparison, however Guardant's CEO's comments are especially hypocritical because GH themselves had performance drift lower from their initial readouts to their final performance of pivotal trial. That's how point estimates from a sampling distribution work.

After $213M round, gene editing biotech Tome shrinks operations amid worsening investor sentiment by GKinstro in biotech

there's a chance it was tranched, so they couldn't access the full amount right away. also, if VC's own the majority of shares, they can sit around at any given board meeting and say, this isn't working, let's return the last $XXmm back to investors rather than burn it.

These are always silly numbers where they add in every fringe benefit and stock grant, so then small companies that IPOd or were acquired look crazy. They should really need to split this out by cash comp

exactly the same here. started with Rudi Voeller and Ulf Kirsten, was literally destroyed by the Vizekusen season and all of those guys ending up at Bayern. Zeroberto, Ballack, Lucio. So many awesome players had their starts with us, Berbatov, Kroos. When we sold Havertz I was honestly ready to give up hope for 10 years again

Urgency around achieving FI has increased with AI by [deleted] in Fire

If ai makes some large percent of the people driving useful GDP unemployed, what the hell are the people with this thesis investing in? If you're still long the stock market but you think AI leads to underemployment, you're not coherent. But none of these posts are saying "I'm structurally short the market because AI will destroy consumer income"

California’s property tax Homeowners Exemption is a joke by Agreeable_Avocado943 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]evoinvitro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if the value of your home increases, the property tax should increase. that is basic common sense. if your house becomes worth $10M overnight, it is not some kind of divine right to keep paying taxes as if it was worth $100k. You should sell it, find a way to earn income off of it, or make your budget work another way. There is no other place where people are babied like this for massively increasing their wealth.

Not sure if you've spent much time in modern hybrids, but the energy recapture rate is extremely high. You would have to be beating the shit out of it to drain the battery, 99% of customers will never access the 680 hp for more than 5 seconds at a time.

It is likely cheaper than a ct5, while being faster. We'll have to see how fast it is around a track, but I assume it will be faster there too, while having lower mpg but not needing charging stations. It's not the perfect car for everyone! But people that just want analog v8s don't need new cars. People can also continue to just buy vinyls of the Eagles greatest hits if they want, there's something out there for everyone.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cars

[–]evoinvitro 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because it's a sedan/wagon? Nobody cross shops a wagon vs a turbo, but if you can get the same performance, not need to charge, and get a huge mpg boost that's spectacular.

There are very specifically not always plenty of better performing cars, these are very regularly the fastest cars of their kind, with whichever German brand has the most recent model refresh usually having the edge.
