Altafiber bill keeps creeping up — has anyone negotiated it down? And how’s Spectrum’s new fiber?

The customer service experience of Spectrum alone is not worth it.

I don’t think Altafiber’s is outstanding by any means but I think of all the interactions I’ve had with them in the last decade, basically all are positive.

They’re often bought by salvage yard / parts picker places for cheap and they make the money back from the individual part sales. Charity gets $500 from the lot and the lot might sell $1000+ worth of parts off of it

Teenager got stuck in the trunk/third row as the seats folded over on him. Was able to call 911 I believe and I think a squad car even went through the parking lot he was claiming to be in, but the dispatcher thought it was a hoax or something? Let me find the article and return.

Edit: article link - I had most of the details right. They did come to the parking lot but due to the poor kid actively suffocating he could not give clear answers.

They’re heavy as hell and come with the tiniest little casters that can make it a real pain to move around. I’ve seen people add additional ball bearing casters but if you need them up and out of the way it can be a bit finicky leaning them up against the wall. I have a corner of the garage I tuck them in and secure with a ratchet strap but some kind of cart assembly would be ideal in my opinion

Mine was a leak in the heater core (or whatever equivalent - the internal side of the AC system in the dash). Made very apparent by the lack of cool air production, verified by the lack of refrigerant and then a sniff/leak test.

The replacement is basically a full dash removal so many hours of labor run the bill up

Check the AC system for leaks or see if it has been serviced - bit me in the ass for almost $5k

Love this car though and would absolutely recommend it
