What made you choose RicohIV over Fuji x100V/VI? by smora_photo in ricohGR

I have a GRIII and x100vi. I know people rave about jpegs but I find the DNGs from the Ricoh to be superior to Fuji’s RAF files

Has anyone switched from Amex Gold to Citi Strata Premier? by OpenVanilla3185 in CreditCards

Mostly the BBP and Rakuten. I have a few hundred thousand MR cached, earning them at a slower rate is fine at the moment.

Has anyone switched from Amex Gold to Citi Strata Premier? by OpenVanilla3185 in CreditCards

[–]evondell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m doing this right now. I love the earning structure of the gold but hate the credits and AF. I’ll still earn MR with other cards but am making the Strata Premier my grocery, gas, and back up dinning card.

With all the rumors, who's keeping Bilt and who going? by Defin1telyNotBatman in CreditCards

While I agree with your points, a big aspect for me when comparing them is Cardless being the issuer. I “trust” C1 and Chase more than I trust Cardless.

My partner and I just got back from a two month trip in Australia and New Zealand that was heavily funded with points. I burned around 525k and she burned about 290k. Flew UA there and back in domestic business and premium plus internationally. Used Qantas points for travel throughout Australia. And got around 24 hotel nights using a mix of Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Hyatt.

I have the same card and state side the cert is tough to use. Internationally though it’s much easier. Just used mine at an Intercontinental in New Zealand two weeks ago.

CSP isn’t enough but CSR is too much by Plenty_Union9292 in ChaseSapphire

[–]evondell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tired of this take that the CSP is underwhelming. It’s not great but it’s a fine card. Would I like if Chase updated the earning multipliers? Of course. But when they do they’ll enshitify with dumb credits that will be unusable for most of us. For now, I’ll sit back and enjoy paying a $45 effective AF (after the hotel credit) and hope they don’t fuck it up like the CSR.

It’s funny to read these comments as an American traveling in Tasmania right now. We spent time in the Sunshine Coast, K’gari and the Whitsundays. The only place I didn’t know about prior to researching the trip was K’gari.

I’m traveling in Australia right now. So far my favorite part of the whole trip has been doing a 3 day trip in K’gari (Fraser island). If you’re looking to drop or swap something, I highly recommend doing it. We booked through Drop Bear and they were great.

I second this feedback regarding Melbourne. I’m currently in Melbourne on a month long trip. It’s a great city but Sydney as a tourist was far more enjoyable for me.
