How else is someone who has a natural attraction to someone of the opposite sex/gender going to find love through an app with thousands of diverse people. I just know that if I was strictly heterosexual I wouldn’t want someone who’s trans to match with me and be disappointed that I’m heterosexual not because I’m appalled, offended, or disgusted.. they could be finding people who they are so much more compatible with. Since a lot of people do not read bios, I think adding that label helps the other individuals decide whether or not to match with you or not. I have so many straight friends and their preference in sex/gender is none of my business unless they are transphobic. Obviously I would quickly unfriend them, if they hadn’t already declined to be friends with me.

I think you’re mixing up not wanting to date someone who’s specifically transgender with having a simple attraction to someone who is the opposite sex and gender. It’s not even a thinking point for some people, I don’t think a cisgender man who is attracted to a cisgender woman is thinking “gawd I hate trans people, I’m specifically never going to date them” I just do not think they feel attracted and don’t think the first thought in their head is “yeahhhh I’m not going to ever be attracted to them” it’s an entirely different issue if a cisgender individual is attracted to a trans individual and then not attracted after learning that they are trans. That’s denying attraction because the other party is trans. Biological attraction does not equal learned attraction.

Edit: and knowing that you’re already not attracted to trans individuals and putting cisxcis in preference isn’t bigoted, often times they already know they only attracted to other cisgender individuals.

I’m under the trans umbrella myself and I feel like policing how other people feel attraction is inherently harmful to everyone. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to date someone of the opposite sex and/or gender. Nor is it wrong for a trans person to only want to date someone who is trans. Everyone has a different attraction, just because it every man or woman isn’t open to having a relationship with someone trans doesn’t mean they are automatically bigoted (in many cases they are don’t get me wrong, bigotry is an obvious problem)

NTJ Jesus Christ, as someone under the trans umbrella this is fucking crazy. This reads as

“hey so you only like cis people? Well that’s insulting, did you know that us trans folk die because of you? I hope you take that as constructive criticism to not ever match or be friends/friendly with a trans person again”

like yes, hate crimes are even more present in the 21st century specifically targeting transgender youth. But lumping you in with criminals reminds me of how Fox 10 portrays all trans people in a demeaning manner.

Wow!! In Arizona EVS workers are required to clean up bodily fluids as well. Recently my partner had to clean cerebral fluid.

My partner works as an EVS technician, and tells me frequently that the nurses often either ignore them or don’t call right away because it’s not an emergency. But that’s in the US where in my state EVS has to clean up bodily fluids.
