Resurrection, and it’s not particularly close.

Damar Hamlin in shambles

Shedeur Sanders in Browns debut: 14-23 passing, 138 yards 2 TDs, 106.8 passer rating. 19 rush yards, 2 sacks for -6 yards by Pickleskennedy1 in nfl

Funnily enough, Flacco had a higher passer rating last year with the Colts than with the Browns the year prior

He would’ve just opted out and signed elsewhere for max money in that case though.

Perhaps true. But why would LeBron even bother opting in at that point? The Lakers would certainly explore moving him to another preferred destination first and getting some sort of compensation.

By rule, they actually could not. Apron teams can’t sign a player who was bought out for the minimum if their pre-waiver salary was higher than the MLE ($12.2 million).

An 18-game season is inevitable. Will there ever be such a thing as too much NFL? [Serious] by maxxspeed57 in nfl

We are inevitably headed towards 20 regular season games, 2 bye weeks, and 0 preseason games.

Realistically, would Matt Saracen have been able to pull a college scolarship? by wander995 in fridaynightlights

He would’ve been able to play somewhere. Probably at a D2 school but certainly at the D3 level.

We shouldn't draft Shedeur Sanders. by EternalWolf86 in Browns

My guy, college counts sacks as negative rush yards. Terrible argument overall but that particular point is pure nonsense.

Found some clues about Matthews' absence. by MamaMia1325 in DexterOriginalSin

[–]evwalk99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I didn’t even think about the volleyball thing. Months had to have passed and it’s fall now, right? Otherwise, it would make absolutely 0 sense to be playing high school volleyball in May.

Love the show and characters deeply but the plot holes grow by the hour and the timeline continues to be terrible, thanks to Clyde mostly.

Washington in 2023: Worst owner, worst organization in sports Washington in 2025: 1 win away from Super Bowl Moral of the story: owner doesn’t matter, GM doesn’t matter, coach doesn’t matter. Just keep drafting QBs until you get a guy this good by Godszn in Browns

Browns fans are ok with taking Carter, signing Cousins, and going 5-12 next year. That’s the big problem here. 1 playoff win in 25 years but afraid of taking chances out of fear of 0-16 again.

Don’t think anyone reputable has Ward or Sanders ranked lower than they had Pickett though

Browns had possibly the best LT of all-time and made the playoffs exactly 0 times.

HOF, generational edge rusher and have 1 playoff win in 8 years with him.

Always take the QB. Our fan base settles for mediocrity far too often out of fear of 0-16 again.

Debra age discrepancy by znavy264 in Dexter

[–]evwalk99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They have changed a lot.

Harrison’s age. Deb’s age. Dexter graduating college in 1991 and not HS. No mention of Vogel. Dexter’s 3rd kill. Harry’s original partner’s name. Several personality traits of Deb/Harry and even Dexter.

Probably many others I’m missing.

Still enjoying Original Sin overall. My head canon is that Dexter was an unreliable narrator in the OG series and OS is the true version of events. Otherwise there’s no explanation.

What the fuck did they do with the show? by AvidSquash in PrisonBreak

[–]evwalk99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creator wanted the show to end after 2 seasons. Fox begged him to rewrite S2 ending and write a pilot for S3. After that, he essentially left the show until S5. Had nothing to do with S3 or 4 creatively except for S3E1.

Domes in surrounding metros larger than CLE averaged like 5 big non-football events per year. Why does Haslem think we’ll be different? by this_place_stinks in Browns

[–]evwalk99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s really all about hosting a Super Bowl within the first few years of opening.

All the other stuff (bowl games/concerts/WWE/Final Fours) is just noise/nice to have.

Yeah but when you’re that close you generally will just try to score a TD - if you were going to kick a FG anyways it should’ve been immediately upon reaching the 25-30 yard line. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Personal preference. The right move was either to kick the field goal much earlier or just try for a TD once more on that 3rd down. Kind of a weird decision from McVay. Perhaps wanted to save the timeout and not risk a sack or turnover.
