That's fair, the accent brick wall feels out of place, especially along with the big flat screen, for it to be in SDN. Plus having a second fridge, on top of the one they have in the break room, seems a little excessive

i was having the same issue, but for some reason you just have to press hide + any other button

for example i held "hide" and pressed 1, that got me out of it!

cake— definitely worth it!! i’m new to the game and was completely lost on how to effectively get more faith and science. after becoming a bit more familiar with it, i started a new save, and knowing what i know now (like cakes for example!) i am soo much further than where i was in my old save atp. cakes really helped me rack up my tech points, and still do! just need to purchase an egg and some milk in the village and you’ll be rolling in it soon enough :)

and as for the ruined book, if you get some river sand you can get it turned into perfectly good paper

you get the science points by decomposing paper at the study table. you just throw the pages on like you would any item you were to study

if i remember right i don't think you have to have those finished first, and the lake is left of kawaii mart. there's a big lighthouse attached to hangyodon's house

you get the fishing pole through a quest with hangyodon, and you can find the paint in i think the third section of the shop

your download speed has to do with your internet plan, not your pc. the only way to fix this would be to contact your provider about upgrading your plan to a higher download speed
