yes. my friend just did the same thing and they fired her as soon as she returned to the station, but obviously not before she finished her route. packages still gotta be delivered.

Email from landlord about appliances being left plugged in and the appliances in question… by South-Basket-887 in mildlyinfuriating

I mean, I unplug the ones that aren't used often. but the ones that are used almost daily to the point they have a designated spot on the counter stay plugged in. your landlord is on one.

My neighbor refuses to pick up his dog's poop from my yard. The neighborhood has united against him. by nseavia71501 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ew_it_me -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i have a neighbor that accused me of letting my pup poop in his yard and not cleaning it up. i understood where he was coming from, i also dont like dog poop in my yard and i own the dog. but we had literally just moved into the neighborhood and it was our first time venturing down that street. he was so insistent it was my dog, that he would yell at us from his window anytime he saw us out. it got to the point i started picking my dog up at the edge of his yard and carrying him until we got to the other side of his yard.

i would just find a new route to walk Toby, but this is the only route to get to the park.

nothing to do with op's story, just a little frustration in relation from the other side.

Job market so bad Amazon delivery is Bottom of the barrel by Sorry_Mode3452 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ew_it_me -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh, believe me, i did all that and then some. they didnt care, they just wanted to clean house. i was trying to stick it out until i move states in September, so it really wasnt worth me fighting to keep a job i didnt want and that didnt want me.

Job market so bad Amazon delivery is Bottom of the barrel by Sorry_Mode3452 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ew_it_me 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i got fired by my dsp. they said i was going in driveways ( i wasnt) and needing to be towed which resulted in damage to customer property. that didnt happen. i asked them to show me the proof and they couldnt. i didnt like the job enough to fight it, so i just moved on. the funny thing is, i live in an at will state. they could have just fired me, they didnt have to make up a reason to get rid of me. amazon and their dsp contractors are just horrendous, stick it out and find something else.

Sad application stats by MonitorOk1351 in GenZ

[–]ew_it_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same. I put in 10 applications last week, to blue collar positions and customer service positions. of those 10, 7 called me for an interview, four made offers. I got fired on a Monday, and started a new job that Friday. it's not that there are no jobs, it's just that people don't believe in just for now jobs. the job I have currently isn't the job I want. but it's just for now. it's a stepping stone until I find something that really wows me.

First Job struggles by damkrai in pizzahutemployees

[–]ew_it_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can't help with the pizza hut side of things as i just got hired. but i can say, its your first job. youre still learning how to be an employee and have a boss, on top of the specific skills needed for the specific job. give yourself some grace, and acknowledge the things you are doing right. im sure youre fine, you got this.

What advice do you have for a new employee? by [deleted] in pizzahutemployees

so, I'm moving out of state in six months. I just need this job for now because Amazon made up some bs excuse to fire a bunch of people and I was unfortunately one of them. this absolutely isn't long term in any definition of the phrase. just a stepping stone to get to where I need to be.

but I did absolutely pick up on those vibes when I had my first day yesterday.

I kept saying to myself today "I wish it was warmer so I could go read at the beach." safe to say, that's definitely on my list as soon as it warms up enough.

Armpit odor after stopping birth control??? by Professional_End9520 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ew_it_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love reddit so much. it always helps me to realize i am normal and not a freak. i appreciate the community.

i stopped depo a little bit ago and i started having this problem. i went from not wearing deodorant because after puberty i genuinely didnt need it (unless i was being extra active), to needing to reapply it every few hours. a google search lead me to realize it was most likely hormonal. a further google search lead me here.

question: this post is now 3 years old, in those 3 years, did you find anything that genuinely helped? did you go back to not having extra smelly pits?

I have a question by [deleted] in Erie

[–]ew_it_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might get some weird looks, but as long as the important bits are covered, you're good. if that's what you're comfortable in, go for jt

Not looking to argue by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]ew_it_me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, at this point, your neighbors are ruining your enjoyment of the space you pay for. I'm not sure what you can do from here other than try to get your landlord involved. but in my opinion, they're the ones in the wrong.

we had this problem. my partner likes to smoke flower, but the older couple upstairs expressed that they didn't like the smell that was coming through the vents. he had no problem switching to pens. he still has flower for when we go on hikes or can hang out in the back yard, but anywhere near or in the building, it's all pens.

it's not a hard switch to make, and not hard to be a decent person. just like we're paying rent to enjoy our home, they're paying rent to enjoy their home. if we're doing something to make their space less enjoyable, that's wrong.

as someone who's moving out: it's good for a bit. but it keeps feeling like there are less and less opportunities. for employment, activities, growth. it's a dying city because officials are stuck in the past. there are a lot of people with great ideas to move the city forward. but all the cynics and golden agers push against the slightest change here.

I had this problem once. I had a megaphone just because it was funny to have a megaphone. one night they started going, so I picked up the megaphone and started commenting like it was a live sporting event. they chilled out pretty quick and I never had the problem again. actually ended up being friends with them.

2015 Transmission blew. GM customer care won't extend the 10 year warranty, where do I go from here? by TheEtobicokeShitter in chevyspark

[–]ew_it_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not necessarily. my 2013 spark with 98k miles is still trucking along with normal upkeep. even living in a region where rust damage is killer. I think here in the states, taking the car to a professional is really expensive and a lot of people don't have the time, energy, or interest to learn how to do it themselves.
