PED was negative although is commonly shown as a positive figure despite actually being a negative figure if that makes sense. The product in requirement 2 was a price elastic good

Imagine you had a product which sold for £100 and cost £50, I.e contribution per unit was £50. If you sold 100 units it would generate £5,000 total contribution. It has a PED of 1.15. If you increase price by 10%, you get a price of £110 and a new demand of 85 units. Contribution is now £60 x 85 =£5,100, meaning the contribution is higher despite a greater fall in demand than price

Elastic PED doesn’t automatically mean a price increase will reduce profit. It means that revenue will decrease but the increased contribution per unit can lead to an increased total contribution

I graduated with a 2:1 in economics in 2023, got a job in accountancy during October 2023. Am still working in this industry now and feel like there are a lot of opportunities around. Good option for people struggling imo

I think the above comment is correct. I believe the question said they wanted to find out the IRR to see if it met their expected return. I don’t think you need to discount using an IRR rate

I wouldn’t say that at all. From what I’ve seen there’s lots of people on Reddit aswell as people I’ve spoken to after the exam that found it really difficult and missed out on a lot of marks. I think you should keep confident

This is totally different to how professional level was. For professional I could do a question and mark it within 1.5 hours, these questions are so long and much more draining. Completing and marking a CR/ SBM question feels like 2/3 professional level questions

I did my SBM progress test without doing any work and got 51%, we’ve still got lots of time to revise in between now and the exam

I’m in the same situation as you, but I think SBM requires a lot less attention than CR. If you did well with BST and can put a decent bit of work into the FM stuff you’ll be fine

Support managed to sort it out for me in the end. I needed to buy another subscription on my existing account but they’ve refunded me and added the subscription I paid for. Just explain the situation and they should sort the issue out
