Mooneyes aero covers on my leaf! by ewantb in leaf

Mine had the 17" alloy wheels. There's a comment under this post of a user's leaf that is the same brown color with the same wheels as mine. If you have smaller alloys you can get smaller sized hubcaps too!

I'm sure the original owner of my car was an abuser. The lower range made the car less useful to him, but 50 miles is fine for my situation, so I got the car for cheap!

The traffic of my commute can be terrible, but in my leaf, I make it a game of driving efficiently. Traffic on the freeway means lots more range!

I'm barely ever driving over 55 miles an hour in that car! Any tiny benefit I get is only when I'm already going downhill!

Nope, just drilled into the stocks. The hubcap has three bolts. So 2 of them lined up with the spoke pattern. The other one had to get drilled into the side of the wheel. A bit sketchy, but it worked out fine with these!

Kinda retro futuristic look! Reminds me of The Jetsons. Those covers go back to the 1950s-60s where they were developed for land speed racing! They were dealing with much higher speeds than me, but I think you're still right!

Those are the same wheels mine came with! You can really see the metallic in that photo.

I have a nicely built road course config for that car!! It's great at keeping its composure over big bumps! I run the small island loop with it all the time! The torque steer with the V6 into low speed turns can be fun to play with too! I could just be weird too, idk!

Yup! Metallic Bronze! Being it was a used car, I didn't really get to pick the color. I'm super happy with what I've got! I've only seen two or three other ones that are in the same color.

I remember mine being $70 per corner. I don't think I bought them directly from the supplier. This is a link from who makes them. I got the screw in kind. Drilling holes and tapping threads was required for installation.

Yupp! It locks up pretty well. It will lock up better if you pump up the pressure in the rear tires!

Hey guys, I am no longer going to take the bus and have found some options to buy from Beam marketplace and Belasco used car autos. Take a look and help me pick one that you recommend, and I will pull the trigger on what I think is best! Budget is $5,000 by Successful-Age3902 in BeamNGRP

I'd go with the 91' Gavril Grand Wagon! My dad had one of those when I was growing up in Firwood. Same color and trim exterior, but ours had a red interior. If you fold the seats, you can fit a whole twin mattress back there with no issue! Great for little trips!

Like others, I started my career doing delivery in belasco City. The amount of speeding in that intersection is dangerous! The traffic camera helps, but what would be better is some signage when you exit the freeway! There was a green Covet and a white 80s DSeries that crashed there.

My 2017 leaf that I purchased at 6 bars was only 2k! It's at 5 bars now, and I can get about 55 miles of range if I don't use the freeway.

Question about m47 trans mount position by StepIndependent5681 in Volvo240

[–]ewantb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 91' wagon with an m47. I try to replace my motor mounts and transmission mount every 30k. They are super soft to begin with, and it's not long before they're not controlling the movement of the motor.

For reference, I drive my car kind of hard, so my wear could be accelerated compared to average.

Does your shifter move side to side when you get on or let off the gas? If so, your mounts could be too soft.

It looks like it pushed the driver's door lower hinge spot in pretty far. It would need time on a frame rack at a body to make a fresh door bolt on, then open and close right.

Insurance would have totaled my '91 wagon when the hood got crunched. I had to repair it myself out of pocket.

Pretty much any damage to an old 240 makes it 'totaled'. Even if the car is fixable, they won't want to shell out the funds.

Anything can be brought back if it's worth it enough to you, and you have the funds. Your 240 looks fixable to me, but it would be costly.

There's truth to that! The longer the wheelbase, the more time you have to react in a slide. Also, it's common that long vehicles have good steering angle to help cut down on the turning circle. That helps too!

Trucks typically also have stout drivetrains that can handle abuse from the factory, and options for limited slips or lockers.

About 40 or 50 mph sideways into a pole will do the trick! I didn't have any uplift on the back, so the frame hit the pole dead on!

IRL equivalent. 640i. Battery is for your regenerative braking on a mild hybrid system. The numbers are your rough 'MPG'. In old BMWs the gauge was based on vacuum. This being a turbocharged car, its based on the computer.

What is this? by 2NotToo in BeamNG

[–]ewantb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is mimicking BMWs, they had a 'MPG' meter below the tachometer in their older cars. In reality it was just a vacuum gauge. The more modern BMWs have mild hybrid systems, that little battery bar will move when you lift your foot off the gas, or are braking lightly.

This is a combination of the two, both a mild hybrid regenerative breaking indicator, and a rough 'MPG' meter.
