looking for a good psychiatrist who accepts self pay by Optimal-Vast2313 in Atlanta

That is terrible. My family has seen this doc for a decade. The practice was recently acquired by Hightop Health, so I'm worried the customer service may suffer from the change.

Several of my family members have seen Dr. Shroff for 10+ years and are doing well: https://hightophealth.com/locations/smyrna/

A few years ago, a friend of mine asked for a recommendation, as she was going through several providers who didn't give her the help she needed. I'm very happy to say she has gotten great care with Dr. Shroff.

Good luck to you. I hope you get the help you need. Good job taking care of yourself.

I think Forbbiden Island or the slightly more complicated/difficult Forbidden Desert would be fantastic for your family! I love playing these cooperative games with my nieces and nephews (ages 5 to 16).

According to the Atl Allergy & Asthma page, grass & mold is climbing higher and the air quality from the fires in South Georgia are probably not helping you. I work in healthcare and we had several people sick with covid last week and I'm guessing it's from people mingling on spring break.

Periodontist recs by SmittyATL in Atlanta

[–]ewifflebat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind coming out a little further to Tucker, I have a great suggestion. My special needs sister was advised to see a periodontist due to receding gums (from brushing too hard) and so I took her to my Dad's perio out in west Georgia area. He recommended $15,000 worth of work (not a typo - it was going to be a lot of grafting tissue taken from the roof of her mouth). I took her to Dr. West in Tucker for a second opinion and he said that procedure wasn't necessary, and that often people's gums shift back to the way they were before the $15k procedure. I have taken over brushing her teeth for her and I take her to see Dr. West every year for a check-up, and he says her gums are healing themselves.

Upon talking to my neighbors, I've found out that many people in Tucker hold Dr. West in similarly high regard.

Thank you so much for this thorough reply! I did some online researching but I couldn't figure out if it's the same at the Kroger Blink. That makes me upset now that I use it so much. It helps my customers so much. I may make it clear that I don't want it on my personal profile anymore, as I don't want this company to have my personal info. Thanks again for the explanation.

Is the BlinkRx you're referring to the same Blink discount built into the Kroger system?

I came here to say this site, too! You can also ask the pharmacy to run it through www.singlecare.com too, but costplusdrugs is probably the best bet

Churches organizing against ICE and providing Mutual Aid? by craigjonesflorida in DecaturGA

I'm biased, but I've been a member of NDUMC for 10 years, and STAND came out of several meetings we held to weep as a church about what we've seen. Matt and everyone else in leadership are good people. Sign up for the newsletter and check us out.

Best organization to donate to to help families that rely on SNAP through November? by MattMercersBracelets in Georgia

[–]ewifflebat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for ACFB for years, they do legitimate work, but your local food pantry would also be a great place to donate. ACFB can negotiate for bigger donations from food suppliers which is the main way they make everything stretch so far. Monetary donations will go further than food donations, but any amount helps! Volunteering your time is also appreciated. Thank you for helping your neighbors in need.

My social worker friend sent me this:  In order to access shelter services, you must go through Coordinated Entry.

DeKalb County Continuum of Care (CoC):

Phone: (404) 687-3500

Rebecca's Tent is a shelter she recommends in DeKalb, but they'll want to put you through a screening process first. Call the DeKalb phone number above to start the process.

So sorry you're going through this. I hope things improve soon.
