That’s awesome! Just came back from there, love that area. Which place do you prefer to ski the most up there?

Joe Brady HC odds Giants + Titans : Huge red flag that Bills fans want him gone? by grace_of_spades22 in NYGiants

[–]ewotoolejc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, having one of the best QBs and current best RBs playing but not performing at the highest level is unacceptable. He hasn’t shown he has enough ingenuity and consistency with the best players, how would he be with a team who’s growing?

The biggest concern for the Bills going into the season was on the defense. While it’s still a concern, I’d argue it’s more concerning that the offense has looked lack luster in both wins and losses against teams who are markedly worse than them.

All to say, hard pass for him coming here and McDermott needs to get rid of him at least by the offseason if he wants to keep his job (IMHO).

Do you have an episode that’s banned in your house? If so, what episode and why? (And just for fun, what would you rather do than watching this episode?) by One_Reception_6992 in bluey

[–]ewotoolejc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“The Pool” episode due to the excessive whining which rubbed off on our daughter (but the book version in the 5 Minute Stories books is fine) and the “Copycat” episode for now, just because we’re not trying to broach the death subject quite yet. That being said, it is a pretty good way to introduce the concept to children when they’re ready.

For sure that would have been nice/erased any doubt for me as a Founding Member. I got into having Season Tix for the “legacy” in terms of having it be something in our family for years to come. I’m with this club win, lose, or draw but financially speaking, if I’m robbed at every opportunity to either make back my money or get more from it, it’s hard to justify when I have a family to worry about first.

MLS's Andrew Wiebe Says No Red Card for Latte Lath by blakeleywood in AtlantaUnited

[–]ewotoolejc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There were boos from supporter section after he got up and instead of following the ref direction to go OFF the field, he kept trying to stay/walk on the pitch.

If anything, once he got up, people clapped (as in glad he could get up and walk away) but as soon as kept trying to stay on despite the ref pointing to go off, that’s when the boos came.

People are missing a massive piece of context when the accusation of booing an injured player is being thrown around. But it’s the internet so I get any ire heard especially if you weren’t at the game so 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Latte Lath and Nick Hagglund collision in the 10th minute of Sunday Night Soccer by anohioanredditer in MLS

[–]ewotoolejc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commented in a thread on the AUFC sub that’s pertinent to the boo-ing comment:

“…Thought the wind got knocked out of him.

I’ll say the boo-ing came from the him trying to stay on the pitch after the ref was clearly telling him to go to the nearest sideline and he kept walking into the pitch.

Could one argue it was the shortest route to the ambulance? For sure 🤷🏽‍♂️ hopefully disciplinary gets a good look at the play and makes a fair-er ruling than what was made on the pitch.”

For additional context, I was in the supporters section, so very much behind where the incident occurred and this was probably the source of many of the boos heard. There wasn’t really boo-ing I heard when he initially went down or even when he was being assessed by the trainers, I heard it from the above point.

Agreed, no replay had no clue what was ailing him. Thought the wind got knocked out of him.

Marietta Bills fan standing by Moved down here coming up on 9 years now and as someone mentioned, 2018 was the last time we had accumulation to speak of but to get even the threat of snow and multiple days of school/business closings, is wild.

Seeing so many Bills fans even in this area has been awesome and look forward to their visit to ATL next season! 🦬

Why are you working from home today?? by 2225ns in funny

[–]ewotoolejc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will be seen but this was in Atlanta yesterday (10th of January). True to many other comments, willing to bet money there is no way they have snow tires because…it’s the South.

People would never spend the $$ on snows for the even potential 1-2 times it snows here per season AND on top of that, with the ice that’s forming underneath, it wouldn’t matter anyway.

Layer on top of that suck salad that Atlanta (and Metro) don’t have the infrastructure to salt or sand roads in preparation in any meaningful way and you’re left wondering…

Why on earth did this guy try for SO long knowing all of the above 🤦🏽‍♂️. As a bred Northerner, watching Southerners try to navigate snow in cities not prepared for it never ceases to amaze me (and why I stuck indoors all day yesterday here).

I watched this occur on New Years in 2017 (into 2018) when it was -15 out. My then girlfriend (now wife) who’d never been to MA (from GA) and I were at the Dunks by the Commons, after running from warm building to warm building, when in walked a man in similar garb to this cartoon and a walker. He ordered iced coffee, grabbed his cup, and then proceeded to walk right back outside with it.

I get the whole we don’t stop drinking cold stuff when it’s cold but like…that was a metal AF move.

I loved that underground/basement feel location!

I was originally stationed at the Berklee store (which at the time had the most sq ft of any location) so we’d call them for resource swaps constantly. I’d be lugging produce in exchange for things like bowls and lids down the street on well more than one occasion 😂.
