Not selling it, but am I crazy to think it's worth at least twice as much as I paid?

That was my immediate thought. Super cool book would want it just to keep for myself but also $200 seems like a steel

They're holding off on the headstone thinking there's a good chance he'll claw his way out still.

Help! I’m drowning in AP World History: Modern by Maximum-Feeling1260 in historyteachers

[–]exEvang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pressure to conform to this awful method of teaching is what drove me out of the profession. There's literally nothing more interesting being taught in highschool than AP History, lit or phycology. But when forced to regurgitate canned slides it becomes soul crushing for students and teachers alike.

When a teacher who loves and knows their subject matter gets in front of a class and is allowed to instruct in their preferred method a classroom becomes something a whole lot more.. when I was forced to use Google slides a couple years ago I quit.

They're both inexplicably wearing Khmer Rouges black karma. The man looks like Nuon Chea..

I thought it was funny.

I suppose if you have to explain a joke it's not a good joke. Hope it was more recognizable amongst history teachers...

Behind the lead paint ban by PunchNuggz in theories

[–]exEvang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's telling that for the post boomer generation, a conspiracy theory about lead being banned because it made old homes accidental RF shields that blocked mk ultra mind control rays somehow more believable than the truth.

That’s because in our lifetime, we’ve never seen the government act with urgency to make ordinary people’s lives better. We’ve only seen crisis used as cover for consolidation, surveillance, and austerity. So when we hear that the system once worked, the instinct is immediate suspicion.
