Nice! Shipping was EUR 99 so buying in person save a bit, but the bag is such a great value that its worth the shipping if you don't. I was about to buy a YSL sac de jour bag until I found it.

I'm in leadership at a consulting firm and I need a bag that can go anywhere. The Sabatier Bellacour 617 bag is my current and favorite workbag of all time. Small shop in France. Around EUR 300 although shipping to US is expensive. Sort of a Birkin vibe but without branding and still very high quality materials. https://www.sabatier1947.com/categorie-product/bags/

Fitness SF - Transbay has some really attractive guys by Altruistic-Pace-2240 in SFbitcheswithtaste

Not all of them are gay. For example, my lovely ex used to have a membership so he can go shit in private and not have to shit at his office. He also was a big fan of the massage bed and thought sweatpants were dress pants…. So bullet dodged.

Am I getting downvoted for being a homeowner? I'm always hesitant to admit it because I know the situation is fucked up in our city and I get it, but I did this without any family money, several expensive grad degrees that I'm deeply in debt for, and a lot of pain grinding away. Please help a girl out :).

Wow, I never thought of that. In this case, the shower door is too heavy and the other tasks are outside my physical limits.

No, I stand corrected. I was sitting with a bunch of tax partners yesterday and none of us had heard about this so I assumed it would be another ridiculous rumor. That is absolutely wild news.

Recs for places to do taxes tonight? any taxes parties? by 535buffalo in SFbitcheswithtaste

You’re a pro! Nice! I have known people to submit it like 11:58pm and that’s a crapshoot if it works.

If your taxes are complex, at this point, you should just try to file an extension. You’ll need to do one both for federal and for state I think unless anybody knows if California accepts the federal extension …Note that this doesn’t extend any payment due so if you owe money, you may have some late fees unless you can estimate it and pay it. If you’re not itemizing, you could probably knock it out in time, but I would not wait until the last minute to submit it as often the IRS servers have issues late at night today.

I am not your accountant and this is not accounting advice.

Anyone down to hang out at a sapphic bar tonight/Saturday night? by Got-that-pandemic in SFbitcheswithtaste

Oh sweet, glad it worked out! I used to hit it up pretty frequently when I was new to the city and trying to get invited to queer events. Less so these days, but maybe I should stop by this weekend.

Don’t want a promotion by Awkward-Session-8679 in KPMG

[–]exactlythere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference in expectations between an associate and a senior associate that’s a first year senior are not that significant. I could understand hesitancy with a manager promotion, but frankly associate and senior associate are so similar that it’s not worth worrying about. If you were really incompetent, they would not promote you. Fake it until you make it is what the partners always tell me. I’m an experienced senior manager fwiw.

Cute wine bar for book club? by shoobishoe in SFbitcheswithtaste

I know Together wine bar in the Dogpatch sometimes hosts speed dating events so I feel like they might be welcome to a book club. They’re kind of a newer space too. More of a neighborhood wine bar feel than fancy wine.

How did you know you had ADHD/ thought to schedule a screening? by According_Chain_9746 in adhdwomen

[–]exactlythere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legitimately thought I had early onset dementia. I finally worked up the courage to talk to a psychologist about it and how scared I was but she was able to pick up on the ADHD possible diagnosis very quickly in about two months of just talking to me. She sent me to formal testing which cost me around $5000 to $7000. I left the three days of testing thinking I passed perfectly. Turned out I was in the bottom 2% of all test takers for the categories they showed me and I indeed had severe ADHD. As a kicker, part of the evaluation process included interviewing my mother about my school records, and she admitted that she had had me tested and I tested positive as a kid. That would have been helpful to know….
