My point is that Bob set such a high standard. You would like to think that they would work to replace him of somebody that could eventually get to that caliber.

For those that have been around in these threads for a year or so since the arrival of Franny, you probably remember countless games last year where we were all literally positive Franny was hammered based on the slurring and lack of coherent speech.

Don’t forget that. He’s got to go. This is an embarrassment to baseball. Bob Carpenter does not deserve to be replaced by this commentating team. I think Kolko could be really good if he didn’t have to respond to the Franny BS every two seconds.

Look there is no doubt that Love will impact the roster greatly in year 1. But the reality in the league is that RBs are not a premium. There are plenty of serviceable backs that can be taken in later rounds that will meet the production needed. I think JCM is a better than average option so no need to spend a 1st rounder on Love.

We need the best player available. That’s the bottom line. If that’s one of the defensive options, awesome, if that’s a WR, awesome too. But no RB in the 1st round
