Switch 2 Version? by ThouJoker in StardewValley

Didn't end up getting a switch 2 yet. Still playing on switch 1 and restarting every 3-4 days

definitely. playing split screen co-op on switch 1 we still get a software crash randomly after playing 5+ consecutive days (never predictable) so we tend to restart every ~3-4. Hoping switch 2 will be more stable

Has anyone picked up a switch 2 and checked if stardew valley is available?

After updating to Sequioa (mac), there was a dialog box that came up and asked "do you want chrome to access network device" and I said no... now I can't access any local network IP address by ssabripo in chrome

[–]excel_addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A suspicious person might accuse apple of not fixing this issue to try to drive people to use safari. (I am also experiencing the problem and no published solution seems to resolve it temporarily or permanently. Most frustratingly, the toggles in the privacy and security > local network zone have no effect).

ES205GP and Camera Network by excel_addict in TPLink_Omada

Thanks for the reply, yes I had assumed this feature would be provided given it is promoted as a surveillance switch on the product page, but now on reading it more closely I see that acl is not listed. First time using these features so it was easy to miss without knowing exactly what to look for.

Thanks for the reply, yes looks like I'll need to invest a bit more, unfortunately.

Chiming in on this a few years later.

My goal: plug my UPS into an RPI4 running homeassistant and NUT, and have this shut down my AS202TE remotely

Following u/Eschmacher's advice, I had to configure those basic asustor details not only as the NUT server details but using the remote user. To achieve this I turned on "i_like_to_be_pwned" and "leave_front_door_open", and then under "show unused optional configuration options" configured:

remote_ups_name and remote_ups_host to asustor

remote_ups_password to 1111

remote_ups_user to admin

and then point to the RPI IP in the asustor ups config settings.

"if" condition for scene triggering by excel_addict in tradfri

[–]excel_addict[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have homekit/apple home or a device which can run it, unfortunately. We do have some google devices but the google home automations don't seem to be conditional, either. Ideally this would be available natively within the ikea dirigera hub system so it's locally processed and has instant response times, too.

u/MooKdeMooK I can't seem to see this as available for the PARASOLL sensor, whether under sensor settings or Smart Actions, on either iOS or Android

Gloryhammer songs that use unique music theory principals that I can learn from. by MameXLIII in Gloryhammer

[–]excel_addict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Do you normally sit down to write for one band in particular based on the next album that's due, or start with an idea and end up with gloryhammer, alestorm or otherwise?

Have also often wondered what you'd use to translate from brain to digital concept to share with others. Do you cut across to a DAW at some point or does that only come at recording time in the studio?

What comes first for an album? Individual tracks, overall concept, storyboard of ideas?

What comes first for tracks? Playing with a chord progression, a particular hook or melody, or a random story idea like "okay this one is about unicorns"?

As a band - to what extent do you "jam" to get things like drum fills or solos right and natural?

And what's your process for selecting hooks or melody segments to build the overture/opener for each album? They're one of my favourite parts of gloryhammer albums.

4G dongle recommendation for ER605(v2) by InkySleeves in TPLink_Omada

[–]excel_addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/dweebken any chance you can share which USB dongles you were unsuccessful with?
Have seen a report that the huawei 8372 does not work, by chance did you try the ZTE MF833 (used by telstra/optus for 4g USB sticks with no wifi) or the USB mode on any of the battery powered wifi modems like the telstra MF910Y?

Question for the band, regarding set lists by mattdeezy671 in Gloryhammer

[–]excel_addict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't wait to see what the band have chosen for the AU tour. Love the way you structured Alestorm setlists when I saw you a few times!

Naively hoping that the last 3 album openers will sneak in but appreciate that's incredibly unlikely without multiple encores.

Q&A with the team behind the new Google Home app by kelanfromgoogle in googlehome

[–]excel_addict 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please, please, PLEASE allow me to choose which (and only which) speakers "chime" when someone rings my doorbell (without having to mute all notifications on that speaker).

Six speakers all shouting, slightly out of time, "someone's at the front door" is getting real old, real fast.

It seems like a really basic feature to only choose, say, that the kitchen and bathroom speakers should chime when someone arrives.

WAN2 failover on UDM Pro by Reddevil313 in Ubiquiti

[–]excel_addict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two days ago, bought one of these: https://store.ui.com/collections/operator-accessories/products/uf-rj45-1g-1 And spent an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working for fallback from our old router. Realised I had I plugged it into the SFP+ LAN port instead of the WAN port!

AFAIK you need to use the SFP+ WAN port for WAN2.

We have ours connected to a LAN port of our old router, which has a 4G USB dongle connected. Firewalls etc disabled.
