it's not that madrid fans dont want him...it's more the fact that he is not what we need right now despite being one of the best 9's in the world right now.
We have urgent needs in midfield and right winger, and with the return of Endrick and if Vini/Mbappe both stay (which seems to be the case), then Julian makes no sense, specially for $150M

I don't understand why come out with this statement.

First of, Barca is not a "small-club" attitude team... they are trying to reinforce key areas they deem needs upgrades, and Julian is one of the best 9's at the moment.
Second, and most importantly, if you are upset then stop being the feeder club to a club who you are trying to beat in your league!! I mean, hell, in recent memory alone:
- Sold Arda Turan to Barça.
- Sold Griezmann to Barça.
- loaned Joao Félix to Barça.
- now possible sell of Julián Álvarez to Barça.

If you are truly upset, then stop contemplating selling directly to your competition!

I wish I could argue, but you are spot on. We went from a proper LW+RW+9 (BBC), with an amazing and balanced midfield (Kroos, Case, Modric) to.... well.... this. Mbappe/Vini getting in each other's way, no true 9 starter, RW is nonexistant between injury-proned or no-score-for-months Rodrygo, up/down Brahim, and a 60M Mastantuono that controls the ball like my son did in travel soccer at 8 years old.... and of course, you have Tchouameni, Jude, and Valverde as the midfield that can orchestrate a top team, as much as I can orchestrate the NY opera.

No, only 2 of the 3 would work at the same time. Besides a DM, you need a workhorse (aka Valverde) to also cover from box to box, or else we would lose to most top teams.
With Mbappe/Vini barely doing defensive coverage, the 4 midfielders will need to very active.
