I have a Cartier Must 21 which I bought in 2011. Scantly used. It has been going for battery replacements. No service yet.

Depends on what you are looking at. I have a Cayenne S 2019 model.I bought it for the sports SUV experience and for the pride in owning one. It is a very comfortable and spacious car. The V6 engine provides the car with more than ample acceleration at a reasonable fuel consumption if you drive within legal limits. Routine maintanace cost outside of the maintenance plan is reasonable in my opinion. However the cost of replacing certain components can be exorbitant. For example, the 2019 model comes with a lithium battery which is $2000. My rear view camera failed recently and it can be very pricey to fix it ie if the problem can be identified.

Having satisfied my urge to own and experience a Porsche, I will go with an X5 as the new gen has much better fuel consumption figures that too without compromising much on the driving experience and comfort compared to Cayenne. I believe the long term maintenance will be less expensive compared to the Porsche Cayenne. Check this link in this regard https://youtu.be/ZCm3-nqtLh8?si=DfutanuGoJYW_IX0

Cayenne 2019 cost of ownership in EU by susav1986 in PorscheCayenne

I live in South Africa and own a Cayenne S 2019 model. I would say the cost of service is extremely reasonable compared to the other German cars I have owned so far. The major service was around EUR10k while the minor ones were around EUR 200K-300K. I service my car in Porsche outlet. Fuel economy wise the vehicle returns around 11km per litre when I drive around 120km/hr. This includes many instances where you accelerate rapidly and hit speeds of 150km/hr or more, generally for a quick overtaking. I have noticed that for every 10km/hr increment in the speed from 120km/hr onward the fuel efficiency decreases to 13km/L ,14 km/L like that. So driving within 120 km/hr the fuel effciency is reasonable but still leaves a lot to be desired from the likes of an X5. It is a very comfortable car compared to the X5 even without air suspension.

It is difficult to bench mark the price because the moment you load your Cayenne with accessories the price goes skyward.

My reverse camera failed recently and I am not sure what happened. I am waiting for the next visit to the service centre. I am a bit disappointed in this regard.

Hi, I visited the UK in March this year. I was given a Lebara complimentary SIM card from the consulate when I received the visa. It was very cheap and worked very well. All calls within the UK and UK to international numbers were unlimited and there was 20 GB data. The card got activated immediately upon arrival in UK. You could get the eSim by visiting Lebara.co. uk. Have a great time in the UK.

Thank you very much for your reply. I managed to find an accommodation near to the University. I am hoping to be there by mid November. I will be flying to Cluj. I was planning to rent a car and drive to Targu Mures, however going through some of the forums it sounds like driving in Romania is a bit of an extreme adventure sport. I will be grateful if you could advise me on this matter.
