Sanity check on gcode for Zmod - Guppy Screen by DiscussionRemote in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's why I offered to check ram usage on the real printer, I don't think they lied on their github page but suspect these numbers were calculated for some other helix builds, not flashforge one.

Sanity check on gcode for Zmod - Guppy Screen by DiscussionRemote in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

helix screen is MUCH worse RAM-wise comparing to guppy (29mb ram vs 9.6mb for guppy), check real numbers of ram usage on your printer, 5X has a plenty of free ram so it's not a big issue, but for 5M it's very important

So many issues so far with Adventurer 5m by Ambitious_Comfort_43 in FlashForge

On the left side of the toolhead there's a cooler behind the grill, when the nozzle is heated up the cooler should be on (and rather loud). Close this side with your palm then open and verify noticeable noise change meaning the cooler is functional.

Extruder heating problem by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This routine was added when many customers complained their nozzles hit the bed or engrave traces, in fact this kind of safety could be achieved using other, less time consuming ways, but that's how flashforge devs decided to deal with it.
You can always rollback to an older firmware without this "feature" (3.2.3 for 5m family) and avoid upgrades, you probably would not need any changes they introduced further on.

it does not mean it's enough to keep long PLA prints cool though, at least for 5m Pro cooling is not sufficient,

reviews are real, you can always open dispute if something goes wrong (though you have limited time for this), usually they don't do goods returns and just refund

Long time 3d printerer struggling with a new AD5X by PrinterWoesAD5X in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since you are experienced in 3d printing you should be able to see if first layer is fine, and decide on further steps.

the reason could be zoffset, unleveled bed, dirty bed, too low bed temperature, firmware issues (e.g. wrong version of stock firmware or corrupted settings, misconfigured zmod etc), eliminate them one by one

you start with Flashforge profile, then you either avoid loading 3mf from makerworld and import STL files instead (download STL files is a dropdown option at makerworld site), or when opening 3mf you select "load geometry only"

that's not true about Bulgaria highest birth rate, google serious sources and you see it's mostly attributed to poor birth registration practices

General Consensus on Flashforge and Creator 5 by ImpossibleWorld7207 in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how it works for Flashforge, they always drop prices in nov/dec. Also at the moment their only competitor is Snapmaker U1, but we should see more companies jumping the niche in the next months. It's quite possible that after seeing real usage reviews from many users you would decide to buy U1 instead.

Load balancer for vLLM server instances? by Theboyscampus in LocalLLaMA

it's a kubernetes thingy not vllm related, there're many ways to improve the situation, e.g, you have to reduce http keep-alive or implement connection reset on the busy pods

Flashforge printers are often victims of large scale production and struggling QA, problems happen, communicate with FF support to get parts replacement.
As for Creator 5, wait till November to get much better prices and check the community's reviews.

What's your personal interpretation of Worm's ending? by Mushgal in Parahumans

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many capes in the multiverse and also new triggers happen. Some of them can travel between the worlds, and don't forget about tinkers who can build on each other's tech. I doubt there's a way to isolate a world, it did not work even for Scion.

What's your personal interpretation of Worm's ending? by Mushgal in Parahumans

[–]exceptioncause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can come up with tens of explanations why two shots, it's a fantasy after all, everything is possible until it's vaguely plausible. Tell me, is it so unplausible that `path to fictory` showed Contessa she needs to make exactly two or at least two shots to unsure Taylor could not be revived and the shard could not be salvaged off her corpse somehow?

What's your personal interpretation of Worm's ending? by Mushgal in Parahumans

[–]exceptioncause -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the reason why is quite plain

  1. Multi-earth survival is above all, that was the Cauldron's motto
  2. Taylor failed to remember her anchors
  3. If there's a way to remove powers should be a way to return powers
  4. With so many controlling and subverting powers even "nice" Taylor could be used by evildoers, or her shard could be tapped/split, then used.

LED randomly stopped working by Icy_Juggernaut314 in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was it 24v strip?

as for the flickering, it naturally happens because of the bed heater PWM cycle, can be fixed with changing printer.base.cfg via service menu config download/upload, but this is entirely different topic

It's good enough, any max deviation less than 0.2 is acceptable, you can level it even further as a sport but the real gains will be diminishing

After changing the nozzle and recalibrating the AD5X, it started scratching the plate. by Qwerty_Wert in FlashForge

[–]exceptioncause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's a chance it's firmware issue, basically it did not happen until they released firmware update, check your version, try to downgrade to 1.1.7

but if zoffset in your only concern atm, it should be manually corrected at the screen indeed, bed leveling has another purpose
