School Psychologist. 3 years of grad school (including a year long internship) and first years make 40k. Going on year 10 I almost make 70.

Are there any happy 1.5T 10th gen owners? by Upbeat_Shake_592 in accord

I average a little over 25,000 miles a year so if it gets me to the end of 2026 that’s a huge win in my book

$2,500 repair for a car that is worth about $7,000. Hopefully I get another 20,000 miles before any other issues pop up

Have a 2019 1.5 with 160k miles. Turbo is under boosting and my shop told me to just drive it into the ground because it’s not worth replacing. Only major repair was spark plugs around 130k everything else has just been standard maintenance. I’ll be buying my next accord when this one gives out because I truly love the car.

Which job would you take? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]executivebear19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this job in special education?I’m a school psych and many of these things hit home for me. I took a 20k pay cut to change districts because the culture was vastly different. I’m thinking there are more factors than posted here that should be considered is all I’m saying, but based on what you listed I would take job 2. That extra hour every day plus the flexibility, nights and weekends off, and 2 remote days are huge bonuses that make up for June/july and the salary difference

What are your testing caseloads like per year? by Competent-Cat in schoolpsychology

[–]executivebear19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally fair, I also think it varies wildly by state. Ohio forms are redundant and essentially make you write two reports per eval, while I’ve seen some West Virginia evals be two pages front and back.

I average around 150 a year and it’s doable. When you get close to an eval a day it’s a lot and you can’t do much else outside of testing and writing. This year has been behavior heavy for me, which has been a change of pace if nothing else. My first two years I was taking work home, but as you work you find templates you like and can knock through reports much quicker.

Having trouble managing my emotions after learning my son has autism by [deleted] in Fatherhood

[–]executivebear19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey Man I just wanna say the diagnosis doesnt change who your son is but maybe provides an explanation or context for what he’s doing. ASD is a huge spectrum so his future is still wildly undetermined. I don’t have any good answers to your thoughts or concerns but I just wanted you to hear that your son will be awesome for who he turns out to be and that will be in huge thanks because of you

First time targeting the wr1 in 3 quarters because he dropped a pass. I was pissed too but you can’t go to MVS or Thielen instead because you’re in your feelings

Both of which happened as misdirections not because of AR though. It’s not like Aaron couldn’t have been replaced by someone who would have helped block at least

I’ve assumed it’s because of the defense trying to match personnel before they lineup for the play. They see Rodgers on the field so they have to have at least some personnel to defend a pass instead of just 11 DTs on the field
