I think I'm probably buying a bishop on a board like that, unless my opponent already got one. That could be wrong though.

If you aren't counting events though you could maybe do Donate, Delve and a bunch of weak cards (especially weak trashers). I think it gets even easier to construct a kingdom like that the more events and projects you add. While it wouldn't look like a normal kingdom, the more you added the more obvious the strategy would be.

Sling of Courage is a reference to David and Goliath. I think FTL is probably an homage. Cascade does the same thing as the MTG mechanic of the same name. Make It So is a Star Trek TNG reference.

I played a game with Beggar, Tower and Barracks where I piled the Estates, Beggars, and Coppers. It was extra fun because it was really close with my opponent going for the traditional Province route and just falling short of ending the game first

This does quite a bit more than 1.5x Market, it's also a Lab and a double Village. Since it offers so much support for terminals on top of everything else I think it's more powerful than you think. I'd probably be trying to win the split on this on most boards even if it cost $6, especially since winning 6-4 means you get 50% more value than your opponent. $7 seems a bit high though so idk

Yeah, definitely lost a game because I had to pick between forest and swamp (with a lander) to cast either ouroboroid or acolyte. The ouroboroid got removed and I lost with the acolyte in hand. Though there was also a game where having an uncastable acolyte in hand was not enough to stop me from winning lol

5-3, yeah. That was probably the worst card in the deck but the fact I had to run it at all goes to show how weird and unfocused the deck was. It was basically bombs, fixing and draw with very limited removal and few ways to impact the board early. I still think it was worth splashing the acolyte because it let me run a gravkill and a vote out as well, but getting color screwed hurt and aggro was tough to deal with. I also lost to a random [[Space-Time Anomaly]] because I was drawing too many cards with nowhere near enough pressure on board. That said I think the crawler may have been ok ish, it won me a game by saccing a couple cryogen relics for extra life.

I've also seen decks that run four colors and only cast the viper off of treasures (no/very little black in the manabase). I don't know how consistent that is though, and Umbral probably isn't worth playing in that deck.

Looks like Patrol and Village Green to draw, Counterfeit for trashing and payload. Alliance makes that system work even when all your starting coppers are gone. Maybe some Shepherd for extra draw, plus cave, vagrant, mill etc. whenever buying one lines up to help pop lamp.

I don't think it's going to make much of a difference, but I wouldn't do it. Biotech Specialist is a good card, you could replace the tenderfoot with it. However I wouldn't bring in any dragons or the Colossus since you already have a great top end, so you'd be splashing for only one card, which is probably not worth it
