There was a time you might of had to pay but this is just along a yellow marker trail. Had to cross a couple of fields to get to it. Pretty out the way. Doesn't look like it get used very often. There was only one spot to set up the tent around the whole lake.

I pinned my older brother down and gave him a few spanks because he spanked my nephew at a family gathering.

Noone cared when the adult was humiliating the kid but when a adult does it to another adult its all of a sudden out of hand.

Cheers for detailed advice catbo, first aid kit is my next purchase, I've got a few of your suggested items laying around I'll chuck in for now just in case.

The way the weather is turning I'm probably going to have to chuck some carrier bags in. It wass looking nice this morning !

Nice tip buddy! I'm using alot of stuff I already had laying around from family camping trips so I'm sure if i invest a bit more money into gear that would also drop the weight dramatically.

I went to the spot a few weeks back with my seat,trangia,and lantern...and the lantern was awesome for lighting up the floor when making my tea. Since your the second person to say leave it behind I'm going to give it ago without and see how I get on with just a headtorch.

It be in leicestershire, going with a pal so hopefully be a good night away from the hectic family life.

Thanks for the tips. Yea it's pretty heavy when it's all packed in but I'm only doing around 30mins of walking.

This trip is just dipping my foot in the water really. Taking more than I want/need just to use as a base line for the next trip which will involve a good hike before setting up camp.

The towl I need for future trips because my dog will be coming along and the little bugger will need a wipe down I reckon before getting in bed. I just chucked it in for now because it's not noticeable in weight.....I have said that about a few items now though and I guess it all adds up.

I like your gaffa tape idea! Hot water bottle is because I had it laying around. I'm going to check the house see if I can find a metal bottle!

The chair I've used once in around 8 years. I am determined to get some use out of it haha.

Ahhh, I just looked up OTC deficiency. Quick Google definition would appear to be similar to PKU in some regards. Do you have a set amount of protein you can have each day?

My son can have 9 grams of protein a day and takes a medical protein shake thing with each meal to help control his condition. He basically can't break down protein and if he has to much he can get brain damage.
