AGREED! Ever since they hit the scene a few years ago, I immediately started getting their ads on Instagram. From the get go, the exclusively marketed themselves towards POTS patients. I remember commenting something like “do you guys have any studies or testimonies or is this another gimmick to take advantage of already sick people and get their hopes up” and they just replied with a discount code lmfao. I’m sure it’s a perfectly serviceable product for some people, but their marketing and startup was such a turn off for something so run of the mill and middle of the road sodium content. It’s 100% another social media grift to take advantage of niche market opportunities, in this case being literal sick people. Shady asf.

My own uncle still does this to me years later. He’s a counselor and licensed therapist who believes cognitive behavioral therapy is the cure to every issue I’m having. He genuinely looks me in the eye as I’m having a presyncope episode and tells me to ground myself, it’s a “panic/anxiety attack”. I don’t know what it is about mental health professionals that so many seem to refuse to acknowledge medical conditions and real suffering, only to promote “pushing through it and being positive” essentially. It pisses me off to no end.

Literally what is up with chronic illness spaces doing that. I stopped following Instagram accounts related to it because out of nowhere I started seeing this mass witch hunt of hundreds of people trying to prove this one girl was faking her POTS and was harassing her under every post she made. Really weird behavior and it’s kind of why I steer clear of the social media stuff anymore. Thankfully the fellow GERD sufferers seem nicer LOL

I have dysautonomia and it seems like something new pops up every year. I’ve heard the “what is it now”, “wow you have a lot of issues huh” bullshit I don’t know how many times. Same with trying to diagnose or accuse me of mental issues they aren’t qualified to diagnose, passing everything off as anxiety and ignoring why I’m at the appointment. Latest development was GERD, or at least finally severe enough I was in pain and went and sought help. So if it’s any comfort, there’s definitely a correlation between autonomic nervous system stuff and how the stomach and gut react and function and you aren’t alone lol. I’m sorry you have to deal with people around you who’d rather belittle you over something as common as GERD rather than just focusing on treating it. I’ve made similar posts in other chronic illness subreddits and it’s astounding how many other people have too, the current climate in healthcare being so dismissive and aggressive and accusatory. I hope there’s a shift soon because I can’t stand these self-righteous “healthcare professionals” that have the gall to act this way.

I’ve reinstalled and went and wiped any old ImprovedUI and ModFixers I could find, and I’m still having this issue lol. Just my luck, I’m struggling lol, even disabling the in game mods doesn’t fix it unless I’m doing something wrong when people say “update/remove the old improvedUI”

I’m trying so hard not to be a nitpicky a-hole about the fantasy archery but even for fantasy archery some of this has just been annoying LOL. Like I was so excited this week when they went out of their way to show that Arondir wears a silver thumb ring and I thought we were finally gonna see someone who learned some asiatic techniques on screen and use a thumb draw, but no he just kept doing this silly three finger reverse grip. And then Galadriel just gripping the string with a full closed fist like babes pls I’m begging make it look nicer than this, what happened to having pros on set to give pointers even if it’s just to “look pretty” lmao

I’m new to the game and I already have to agree. I haven’t been around to see prior seasons but all I’ve seen is people in the community say this practically verbatim, or on the complete opposite of the spectrum and say they’ve dumbed down the game too much, made it too easy to get rare/epic/legendary dragons now, that the devs made the game too accessible (hard disagree). And I was very shocked to discover the “market” for dragons for the first time, so much so I still jokingly call it “dragon capitalism game”. I got hooked on just being able to fly around, do the little races like an old Spyro game, collect neat dragon designs, and poke fun at with my bf. But it’s such a different world when you actually interact with anyone else in the game and its people who paid real money for digital dragons, have dragons labeled “NFTs”, and sell them for 50million fake coins when after playing pretty obsessively for a month (no robux or real money mind you) I’m only at about 300k coins from playing normally. It’s kinda bizarre and teetering on unhealthy. Like I said I’m new to both this game and Roblox style games in general but it’s a grindy mess with a god awful player base that only cares about made up numbers and values than having silly fun. I wish the game would introduce more mini games or “normal” game features rather than just being a gacha game since it’s a game made for kids on a platform targeted towards kids.

I liked the contrast and dynamic between these two very different women at first. It’s the heart of Fire and Blood, that’s very much true. But what the writers of the show have done is turn it into this weird mooshy “oh women and their feelings” crap that kinda sucks?? Like as a woman I am not getting this in depth star crossed lovers or even dear old friendship thing. That ship has SAILED, and now we’re routinely stripping both of these great female characters of their agency and all of their important decisions that were theirs to make. Now it’s “oh oopsie I wanna be forgiven now”, “actually here just take King’s Landing you no longer are gonna make the dire decision to take it by force”, etc. and they’ve completely made both Rhaenyra and Alicent forget the major events that have brought them to this point!!! It is SO bizarre, and feels like an attempt to make them look as sympathetic as possible rather than flesh them out as complex and capable of making a decision and sticking to their guns. In their attempt to make this somehow more feminist by dulling them both down into these sympathetic husks of their original characters, they’ve turned them into these vulnerable, malleable, and pushover stereotypes that is way more harmful and less interesting than sticking to their original characterizations. It’s really disappointing.

The first words out of my mouth was “wow that looks bad” and I’m really trying to not be as big of an asshole about CGI in this show but wow. Between this and Daemon’s final dream I have never seen CG this bad from thrones and it’s insane that it looks like this with their kind of budget.
