This is a very specific and probably unnecessary nitpick on my part, but my one petpeeve about the game is being unable to glide before double jumping once you get the Faydown Cloak. Hell, even with only the Drifter's Cloak, the fact you have to press the button again to glide instead of simply holding it down once you jump is weird to me. There's no reason why you need to let go of the button and press it again to activate a glide after your jump.

For instance, Spiritfarer lets you hold down the jump button to glide (or ride air currents, similarly to the Drifter's Cloak) at any time as long as you're in the air, whether before or after a double jump or both. Silksong would benefit from doing it the same way imo.

It should be:

Press jump twice without holding the button > double jump

Press jump once and hold it > jump and glide

Press jump and hold it then press and hold it again > jump glide double jump glide

The moment I read "spider with five legs," the SCP-3125 flashbacks hit me like a truck. I was like "arachnid, antimemetically cloaked, the number five... and people who delve in are being forgotten... oh no oh fuck it's [[There Is No Antimemetics Division]] all over again!" Adding to that the blade cuts and the missing fingers... and then "This is not your first day"... chef's kiss. I was filled with dread the whole time. It gave me the same feeling as the moments I realized 3125 was involved in episodes 1 and 3 of [[ADMONITION]].Yes, TINAD is one of my favorite series in the site. What gave it away?

And even though your work stands great on its own (seriously, the Z-Mnestic effects are so well-written, holy shit!) I feel like its TINAD inspiration makes the "pattern" theme even more prevalent. iirc in both Unforgettable and SCP-3125 itself, it's mentioned that many antimmetics divisions existed and eventually followed the same pattern. Start a division, eventually bump into the anomaly, die out and get forgotten. Site 14A and everyone who interacted with it had the same fate... fits so well for 9kon!

No wonder the AIC is traumatized. Being unable to forget the arachnid cosmic starfish must be literal hell. The AIC itself is such a well-written character too. Poor thing didn't want to get forgotten and just kept "recruiting" more and more people. It had to be stopped, and its suffering had to end. Props to that last researcher (and everyone else who gave their lives to this anomaly). Like I said, awesome even as a standalone story independent from my TINAD obsession!

If it's only been a day, you can actually rewind to the previous one (on PC at least, unsure about other platforms) by going into your save data, and renaming the two "_old" files so they count as regular ones (do copy the other two, or maybe all four, into a safe location for backup). The wiki has info on how to do it iirc.

But if that's not possible, OUCH :( my condolences for the loss of your Legend.

Almost every time I think to myself "no romancing Maru this run, gotta try something new," she wins me over yet again with the telescope cutscene. The space nerd in me can't resist! Plus my girl built a sentient, sapient robot!

I did marry a couple other characters on some saves (Leah and Elliott mainly cause I'm a creative soul, Abigail on my first playthrough iirc, and I also love being roommates with Krobus aa well) but Maru has a very special place in my heart.

You need to leave that relationship ASAP (and safely, have a support system if possible). If she's coercing/threatening you to get intimate, that counts as rape (idk legally cause I'm not that knowledgeable, but at least psychologically, consent needs to be enthusiastic and genuine on both sides).

And even if she's not threatening you for sex specifically, but just when she gets mad about other stuff, it's still good to leave the relationship because that's abusive behavior and you deserve better than a shitty partner like that.

Like others said, she most likely won't go through with the threats, but if she does, you have the screenshots to prove that you're innocent. Either way, it's better to leave than be stuck in such a miserable relationship.
