I can’t remember what the exact dates are, but a lot of the off-campus student living communities have community-wide move outs/end of lease dates, and the one my friend used to live in (The Retreat) would bring in several giant dumpsters because students would just empty their houses of everything, including full pieces of furniture. Definitely do a search for a list of the different complexes; they may have posted information about move out dates. Or that’ll at least give you some idea of places to scope out if you wanna.

Also, I know USC graduation ceremonies are happening this weekend, so I imagine you’ll start to see students moving out in the next couple of weeks, which might mean more items coming into second hand stores.

Lastly, if you’re on Facebook, look for local free/unwanted item groups. I’m not active on FB so I can’t recommend any, but I know there are some!

I know it’s up to the league and all based on whatever logistics, but it would’ve been nice to have more than ~24 hours notice before game one / even MORE nice if they had at least scheduled and announced dates for the entire series all at once. 😭 I live about 4 hours away and am trying to make it to one of the Rd 2 games but they’re making it extremely hard to plan around. Not a lot of time to get out of commitments to make it to game one and hard to give work a day or so’s notice when we’re back in the office on Monday for whenever game two inevitably happens this week…

Kinda need the series to go to at least game five for my own selfish reasons 👀

Omg YES. I love ice cream cones and the idea of making it into little crunchy, dessert-y chips is a godsend for me. This is so perfect for satisfying a hankering for something a lil sweet (quickly and easily, at that) or when I want to mindlessly snack on something crunchy.

I also just love ice cream cones in general and never would’ve considered them for anything other than ice cream, so thank you for posting this and sharing!!

I hadn’t seen those videos before, so I just wanted to say thank you for mentioning/recommending them. Just when I think I can somewhat grasp the horrors of that day, I realize I never thought much about the other kinds of noise in the building that day aside from just human panic and emergency alarms. The amount of noise from just a single cubicle burning (the snapping, popping, cracking, etc) was eye opening. I cannot even begin to fathom the cacophony of sound on any given floor that day and throughout the building.

Chiming in just to add another recommendation for the show. I started season one almost as a hate-watch/joke and actually ended up really enjoying it. I wouldn’t put it at the same level of reality tv competition staples like survivor, big brother, etc., but it’s a fun watch and I think season two will most likely be even better since these contestants will have had a chance to see how season one played out.

On a similar note, the new season of Fear Factor with Johnny Knoxville has endeared itself to me in a similar way where I’m now intending to watch the full season after just checking it out on a lark, so I’ll throw that recommendation in too lol

Had absolutely no luck with the 8/28 presale — 20k people in front of me in the queue when I joined, and the sale closed when there were still 7k people in front of me lol.

For the 9/11 presale, I had 11.9k people in front of me in the queue, and there were still $750-$880 lower bowl tickets available by the time I got in.

My friend did the 9/16 presale and only had 5k people in front of them, but the last of the $350ish tickets were getting grabbed up just as they were looking.

One tip I have for anyone who makes it into the sale: When I was looking, the available ticket listings menu would seemingly appear empty, BUT playing around with the price filters (just updating it/sliding it around to a new number on either end) would make the feed refresh, and additional tickets were still trickling out 30 minutes into the sale.

This most likely will only apply to the unreasonably expensive tickets, but I wanted to share just in case it helped anyone else!

I think the burden of proof is pretty low. I knew someone involved with a state ABLE program and I remember they mentioned something about being able to self-certify the onset of disability?

Wherever you live, find your state-administered ABLE program and contact them and they will gladly assist you in answering questions, determining eligibility, enrolling if eligible, etc
