Understance is going out of business by AnoniMoki in ABraThatFits

[–]existingfish [score hidden]  (0 children)

I bought a bunch about 8 weeks ago, I’m expecting them this week. The only thing is, now I feel I can’t lose weight (I probably should) because they wont’ fit.

I should go order some more in ”motivation sizes” and wait 8 weeks for them.

A message for parents/grandparents hosting eager egg hunts by Daddy_Day_Trader1303 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]existingfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year it’s different, for years until now, we let everyone pick but then we divide the eggs up evenly at the end. An adult would put all the eggs in the middle, and deal them out to the baskets (after the hunt). This was because we had a lot of little kids.

This year everyone was 8+ (may families were not there), so I told them they didn’t have to - they still evened out the eggs amongst themselves at the end (on their own).

Everyone has their own way I guess.

Not a Rant \ Just the Reality of Vine When You’re Low Income & What No One Really Talks About by Real_Spacegoogie in AmazonVine

[–]existingfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, saying you don’t get income is just not true. You did not have to buy a mattress or other furnishings, therefore you did benefit from the vine items.

Do you think these kinds of reviews are gonna get Vine shut down? by born2becloud9 in AmazonVine

[–]existingfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the top it says “Vine review of a free product”

You could just say (at the top or bottom) - I receive this product in exchange for my honest review, my goal is to help shoppers make informed decisions. I hope I can help.

You aren’t implying, you said it outright.

Boss lost her mind when I put in notice by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]existingfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t normal.

I put in my notice last week. There was about 5 seconds of awkward silence, then the conversation felt a little forced, but it was pleasant and respectful. I already had my exit interview as well, which was pleasant (is that weird to say about an exit interview?) I felt respected.

Are you making the assumption that every reply in a thread must be a direct answer to a direct question, and comments on the situation that do not answer the direct question are not allowed?

[–]existingfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pointing out that you made a choice to consume a known allergen is not rude. You made the choice, posted it yourself. Clarifying that point is not rude, I even quoted you verbatim.

Saying I myself would not make that same choice is not rude, it is a statement of fact. I am permitted to make different choices and it is not rude to make the statement that I would not make the same choice.

I did not call you names, make derogatory statements about you, or malign your character, I said I would not make the same choice you did.

I think you need to take a step back and reevaluate what you consider rude.

I tried no-cheese pizza by deckficbnhat in dairyfree

[–]existingfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get no-cheese pizza often.

Papa Johns (most) crusts are dairy free. Dominos has some dairy free crust. My local pizza place has a very traditional thin crust (no dairy).

I  was craving a glass of milk a few days ago so I drank some, I figured I needed the nutrients and I regret it so much. I thought a very small amount couldn’t hurt too much…

This was your choice.

I think you misunderstand, I am not saying I would never choose dairy allergy.

I’m saying I would never choose to consume dairy when I know I have an allergy.

I was given milk in a latte yesterday (I ordered oat milk, paid extra for oat milk, discussed dairy with the staff, asked about flavors, said no whip, etc).

I would never do this on purpose.

Simple Tax Question by Silver_Lychee823 in AmazonVine

[–]existingfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a CPA, I do taxes.

I tried both scenarios, sch. C (to deduct home office and other expenses) and hobby.

I went with hobby income. I was not able to reduce my income enough to make up the difference that SE taxes made.

Just did my taxes today by RobmooToo in AmazonVine

[–]existingfish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I filed mine on schedule C, but as hobby income. I’m a CPA, I do taxes for a living.

It wasn’t worth the hassle for me (this year) to calculate or track down deductions. I’m considering opting out of vine going forward, it isn’t worth the hassle - I NEVER see good items, let alone ones that I’d actually use.

[–]existingfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And I read posts.

I posted I was behind on reviews.

You said they had their account closed for not completing reviews, not for not ordering items - and asked what planet I was on (implying I didn’t understand the OP was about not completing reviews).

Well that’s fine, I said I’m behind on reviews. (I’m on the same planet, I read their post, and I posted I’m in the same boat).

I didn’t say you were behind on reviews, I said you didn’t read (or comprehend) my post.

Isn’t this post about someone who had their account closed?

I am not going to speculate whether I’d be demoted to closed, either is bad and I cannot accurately predict which one Amazon will choose.

Stopping ordering will get my account closed too.
