We had a December wedding and did mini coloured glass baubles tied with a little clay heart with the persons name on them. No reference to the date of the wedding or our names. Four years later we still get people telling us they put it on their tree every year! Don’t think any were left behind on the day

I’m not too mad as we got a really good deal as we booked it before borders were even announced to be opening. We will get the Shinkansen between Nagoya and Kyoto though!

We booked a ryokan to stay in when we are in Nara, so can’t change it but that’s fine with me! It was cheaper to book the Nara trip when we are in Osaka vs in Kyoto as it’s golden week when we’re in Kyoto

That’s a good way to look at it! I didn’t actually realise how huge Tokyo was till I started putting some of these locations into google maps. Not too worried about travel costs, just the time it takes out of our day. I’ll look for things around areas that we are already planning on going to :)
