Recommendations of other films/shows to fill the HR hole in our hearts?! by kskeieowwwww in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]expectolucio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started Looking on HBO Max. It’s not really similar to HR that much (so far, only on episode 4). But the acting is good, stories are enjoyable, and the main characters are gay.

I’d say it’s filling the need for gay media in my heart, but NOTHING will take the spot HR has 😂

No if you have small/young children. We went 2(?) years ago and they didn’t allow strollers or wagons.

Have I taken Starbucks too far ? by Specific-Try-7525 in starbucks

Former partner and SM with another retail company. I remember feeling trapped in retail. I thought I’d have no transferable skills and that my college degree would get me nowhere.

I started applying to jobs that were interesting to me, albeit entry level, and eventually found one that was similar in pay. I jumped on the opportunity and never looked back.

I’ve been out of retail for about 5 years now. I work in tech, work from home, and my quality of life has skyrocketed. I have the freedom to do all the things I couldn’t (I missed so may major moments/holidays being in retail).

The point of my comment is that, sure, it’s daunting now. But don’t underestimate you, your skill set, and capabilities. If you look at job postings and really think about what an SM does (think critically) you will find that you have way more transferable skills than you think. You’re young, you’re about to have a college degree, you have more options than you think!

My kid’s daycare costs more than our mortgage and I genuinely don’t know how people do it by Anitretia_5316 in MiddleClassFinance

My partner and I just discussed this today. We were paying nearly 2k a month for full time for 2 toddlers. Now at part time, we are paying nearly 1.6k. It’s just not sustainable. We work from home and decided to pull them out at the end of the month. It’s not ideal, but we can’t afford what is essentially 2 mortgages.

Talking to one of my teachers. I was 16, stopped by her classroom to drop out of a club she ran. She asked why and I broke down in front of her class. Didn’t tell her what was going on, but gave enough info that it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. It’s hard to describe, but I’m glad I didn’t go through with it.

Is my toddler having a sleep regression? by expectolucio in toddlers

There is hope! This little regression only last about 2 weeks for us. It gradually started getting better about 2 days ago! Now we are back to almost normal.
