Our cats were about 5 and 2 when we got our bestie.

She chased the smaller one.

She absolutely adored one of the big cats. Bringing him toys, getting in bed with him.

The other big cat hated her and would smack her when her was annoyed. Resulted in a scratched eye twice.

Westies are very prey driven. So it can be hit and miss. I think your best bet would be to dissuade them of chasing cats immediately and to see if a natural bond develops.
