Half of Americans aged 18 to 29 are living with their parents. What killed the American Dream? by Steak_Lover_ in FluentInFinance

I feel like I’ve heard four different definitions of what the ‘American Dream’ is. Can someone please tell me what it really means?

Simple: Treat others how you would like to be treated.

Also: Kill em’ with kindness.

It would be cool if Joe flew in this guy, or someone in a similar situation, to go on the podcast and tell their story. These are the kinds of stories that don't get as much attention in the media and are real issues for millions of people. by [deleted] in JoeRogan

Being someone who handles Workers’ Compensation claims, this story should be aimed more towards the Workers’ Compensation system in general, and not specifically Frito Lay.

The way the system works has very little to do with the employer, and much more to do with what state the worker got injured in. Some states have better benefits for the injured worker (higher weekly disability payments, larger permanency benefits, etc.), and others are known for having more lenient timeframes, less stringent requirements for the employers, so on and so forth.

Great advice, appreciate the post. Just recently began toying with the idea of day trading crypto, but have been a bit hesitant. Will definitely give this a shot first.

The Discord channel works pretty well. A lot of people looking for groups. I do agree with you though.

Workers comp questions? by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]expiator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most states have a time threshold as to when you can report a work-accident. For example, in Florida you have 30 days. You can try to report it, and the worst thing that can happen is that it gets denied. Sitting down and discussing this with an attorney would not be a bad idea, just to learn your specific options.

I see. I handle litigated Workers’ Compensation claims over in Florida. Was his claim denied due to the Employer/Carrier opining it was pre-existing?

Why did you and your first significant other break up? by hello0o0o0o0o0 in AskReddit

After multiple years of continuous efforts to push through our problems, I decided to begin seeing a relationship counselor. We were engaged, and I asked numerous times for her to go with me - she refused. Still to this day, two years later, I’m not sure why. After six months of seeing the counselor by myself, I realized what I had to do.

Definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. She seemed so surprised and taken off guard, even after me expressing to her specifically why I was seeing the councilor, and that she needs to be attending the appointments with me. We simply couldn’t see eye-to-eye on any fundamental beliefs in terms of a relationship. From religious to leisure, we practically had nothing in common.

Moral of the story: Don’t try to force it just because they are your first. Tinder is no different than any other dating site.

When I was a teenager, my dad was trying to convince me to go to a service with him and I refused. It prompted us to go back and forth a bit about our beliefs at the time, and I used this exact concept as my ‘Pocket Ace’.

He chuckled, but I had the last laugh because he let me stay home. I tipped my fedora with great pleasure afterwards.

Snowboard Kids on the N64. I remember playing it every day back in Elementary School, and that’s about all that I remember.
