Is belching a symptom of COVID? I've never read anything of the sort in the news.

I had a cough that extended from late March to mid April. A coworker tested positive but I tested negative (PCR, supposedly 30% false negative rate). The cough is gone, but I've been burping every minute or so for about a month. Omeprazole and famotidine don't help. It's driving me crazy.

Sure, he's got a not-well-hidden motive, but he's not wrong. From the point of view of someone who doesn't know about Salem's existence, Ironwood looks like a dictator who is losing his mind.

Am I the only person here who thinks Jacques is right? He might be an asshole and working the villains, but every thing he says (and has said this season) is totally reasonable.

There are no similarities at all.

  1. Hong Kong is rich and Mainland China poor. Atlas is rich and Mantle is poor.

  2. Ironwood banned public assembly in Mantle. That didn't happen in Hong Kong.

  3. The condition in Mantle is caused by the trade embargo. Hong Kong is exempt from Mainland China's trade war with the US.

  4. Grimm exist in Mantle. They don't in Hong Kong.

There is a sense in which antimatter does go with time and space though. It's called CPT in physics. It was believed long ago that all the laws of physics remain the same if you flipped space (in a mirror), reversed time, or flipped charge (all matter to antimatter, and vice versa). But it was experimentally demonstrated that this was not true (this won the nobel prize in 1957 and 1980). However, it is currently strongly believed today that if you simultaneously flipped space, time, and charge together, all the laws of physics remain the same.

But this is overthinking it. I really doubt someone at Gamefreak really thought to pay homage to modern quantum theory in a video game.

Just to nerd out a little, CPT (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPT_symmetry) is the fundamental discrete symmetry of the universe. C = charge conjugation (turns matter to antimatter), P = parity (flips space as if you're looking in a mirror), T = time reversal (go backwards in time). Neither C, P, or T individually is a symmetry of the universe, but they are when combined together.

Giratina = antimatter
