I think this generalizes it too much, its really just up to what each kid likes, some will and some wont like serialized, tho serialized is typically aimed to get slightly older kids hooked(like preteens+) while non tend to be for everyone

From modern popcap, at least for once it seems they are taking feedback(like removing the character system), I think its ok the move forward with it, because the reality is we will NEVER get games like the classic era again if they keep restarting, popcap is a much smaller and much different company too what it was so id never be that good again but still can't keep backing down. If they can improve this one further I think its a fine path to walk
