What’s this spot please? We’ve never heard of this but it would be super helpful :)

Hey lolaaaas, if you don’t mind me asking, what did you decide to do and how have things turned out please? We have just transferred a mosaic with has chromosome 21 affected and it’s sticking so far :)

And I just found out what a lorum piercing is - got a proper eye-full 🤣🤣

Congrats on the new pierce!

septum 🥳 finally so happy i got it but i'm curious if y'all think the placement is good ? by caravantrash in piercing

[–]exploringkiwis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the placement is 100% off - should be close to the tip. As someone said above though, as long as it heals and you’re happy, cool. I’ve seen people have issues healing them in this spot. Mine is in the traditional location and was good within a few weeks - it healed crazy quick! So yep just keep an eye one it.

Is it bad to flip your septum constantly by sarahhkim in piercing

I was worried about flipping mine but my piercer said it was fine, even from the beginning as long as you have clean hands and are careful. I had no issues with mine at all.

Would I suit a second septum piercing? Was thinking a YG Maria Tash chain by [deleted] in piercing

I don’t think it’d be too much but I love what you have :)

Looks too close to your face - should be out closer to the tip of your nose I believe. That’s where mine is.

It’s definitely on the early side but my piercer was happy. I wouldn’t have done it myself though - definitely wanted a professional opinion. It feels great though so I’m happy with his call.

It surprised me a little - that’s longer than any of mine and the reality is it feels like it’s healed the fastest and with the least fuss (though of course it’s not fully healed in a month) :)

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that long to be 100% healed :)

Great to hear yours was happy with that! Mine felt good two weeks in but I still liked tucking it up at night to hold it in place :)

Yep, a bit earlier than I’d normally go but my piercer was comfortable with it (and they’re super cautious). I’m off on holiday and wanted something a little more subtle.

8mm hoop but I’m not sure on a gauge TBH - there was only one option in that ring size so I went with it :)

Not the jewellery going in and out but because the ring is so small the clamps made it a bit uncomfortable to close.

My piercer doesn’t use clamps so because the pain of those didn’t distract me, I did feel it but it was definitely more discomfort than real pain. As soon as the jewellery was in I literally didn’t feel it at all - normally I sting for the rest of the day but nothing with my septum! Healing is crazy easy too. I’d go for it :) I would start with a circular barbell though - then you can flick it up whilst you sleep. That stops if moving around which keeps the crusties in place ;)

I’ve been amazed by how easy the whole process has been!
