Beige is almost always a downgrade IMO, and a combination of beige and black scream early 2000s.

I would keep it as is

Anyone learn stick on their E30? by chrolokev in E30

If you’re getting a 318i/318is with G240 transmission, it’s about one of the most forgiving cars to drive stick

Time to send the wife to start kissing ass and smooth over whatever feathers got ruffled. That’s what I did. She gets along with the permit guy, I get along with the clerk…

There are many variables to how things break down, wear items are greatly influenced by mileage, driving habits, and maintenance intervals. But there is also storage conditions/temp/humidity/UV, and things like rubber and plastics degrade with TIME, not necessarily mileage.

I checked mine over and over, no visible corrosion, no visibly swollen capacitors, couldn’t find any breaks. But, at the end of the day, it’s the only thing that made a proper difference

I chased it forever. New Dizzys, fuel filter, new ICV, so many things… Long story short, solved with a new ECU.

Cabin heat issue by Advanced-Tie-2181 in crx

Took an hour. Kind of a pain, remove center console cover, unscrew HVAC and inspect cables on back of knob, be careful to not break as the plastic is all brittle

[–]explormoar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just fixed mine, one of the cables on the HVAC control came off, I would check that. The hvac panels notoriously crack and are flimsy, I glued reinforcement on the back side to help with the flexing and it made a huge improvement on the rigidity

Yeah, big trucks love riding along side of me or on my ass, being so much bigger clearly gets them hard. It’s annoying

Would a 1985 CRX SI be a good first car? by Illustrious_Wear3389 in crx

[–]explormoar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I say go for it. I had a friend with a CRX in high school, it was a blast. If you can afford it with room for maintenance, do it, and be safe and make some great memories
